We might not have San Diego's Zoo, but this hidden gem has some awesome animals, a treetop adventure, and history exhibits! It's a great outdoor museum and perfect for kiddos and adults. And with a $12 entrance fee, it can't be beat.

I could rave about this place all day. It is a perfect example of old world Florida and a nature lover's paradise. The guided boat ride/tour is a MUST-DO in my opinion. You'll lazily float down the river encountering alligators, manatees (usually between October-March), wild birds, turtles, fish and all other kinds of nature. The guides are experts and can answer any questions you might have. In the warmer months you can swim in the springs and jump off of their 2-story diving platform. There is also an on-site hotel dating back to the 1920's with a gift shop and a snack bar!

Our favorite local pizza place. Tallahassee has some great pizza joints, but this one has the ambiance and location that tops the others. This is super close to FSU and in a hip place.
