Neighborhoods

Audubon Park is a stylish suburb known for Corrine Drive, a hip shopping area with clothing boutiques, vintage stores, book and record stores, a Monday night Farmer's Market, and seasonal special events. Coffee shops and craft beer bars are also plentiful, while the bustling indoor East End Market is the local's choice for organic juices, artisan cheeses and baked goods. The neighborhood features fleet farming, transforming under-utilized urban lawn spaces into abundant micro-farms that supply local restaurants. It's a cool neighborhood, and you can enjoy it on foot or on a bike (no car required).

Food scene

Love the Ramen, love the appetizers, love the creative drinks they made! Everything is true about the wait time. It is a very small restaurant and if you want Ramen (and you do) they only serve it in the main dining area. Yes the tables are close. Just pretend you are in a big city, as that's the way the best restaurants are. Also a little planning cuts your wait time. Come during the week either very early or late. If you come on a weekend night at 7, prepare to wait over an hour. Or try happy hour. On Tuesdays, it's all night. You can drink and snack on the bar offerings and calmly wait for your table.

The chocolate chip cookies are to die for and worth every penny. Really. You have to try one. National foodie website Delish made a slideshow of the best chocolate-chip cookies in every state, and Orlando's very own Gideon's Bakehouse took the top spot for Florida.

Lots of healthy options, with everything from tempeh to grilled chicken. It is a good meet up spot for coffee or lunch.
