The Museum of Idaho hosts traveling exhibits as well as a permanent local history exhibit. The building itself is also historic- it used to be the Idaho Falls public library, and it was built with money from a Carnegie grant. I especially love the old Eagle Rock townsite replica on the ground floor!

Walk just a section or all the way around the Snake River! On the west bank you will have many good shots of the falls on the River. Be forewarned though- it is often a bit cooler right around the river! I always bring a light jacket.
