Neighborhoods

St Leonard's-on-Sea (commonly known as St Leonard's) has been part of Hastings, East Sussex, England, since the late 19th century though it retains a sense of separate identity. It lies to the west of central Hastings. The original part of the settlement was laid out in the early 19th century as a new town: a place of elegant houses designed for the well-off; it also included a central public garden, a hotel, an archery, assembly rooms and a church. Today's St Leonard's has extended well beyond that original design, although the original town still exists within it. Norman Road in St Leonards on Sea. A mile away from Hastings Town Centre, it lies just behind the sea front and the gorgeousness of Marine Court (a 1930s building, built to look like an ocean liner). Here is a road with many attractions, one half of this astonishing road is home to cafés, furniture shops, art galleries, an Aladdin’s cave of a haberdashery, vintage clothing shops, two hairdressers, a Chinese take away and a cinema, while the other half houses a beautiful florist, the best kebab shop in St Leonards and international supermarkets. I mean, what other road do you know of has it’s very own website?
