国指定重要文化財「昇開橋」の大川側にある観光拠点。観光協会の方が常駐しているので、なんでも質問に答えてくれます。
昇開橋から眺める筑後川は最高ですよ。

昔、この石に木を通して馬を繋げていたそうです。側に小保八幡宮があります。その中にある淡島神社は女性の神様です。とても小さい鳥居をくぐって通ると、婦人病予防、恋愛成就や子宝に恵まれるそうです。
