Food Scene

Uncle Henry's is an award winning farm shop, butchers and cafe. Whether you fancy popping in for afternoon tea (yummy) or picking up some groceries to cook yourself on the BBQ, Uncle Henry's can provide. There is also a farm themed play area for children and a Maize Maze that you could spend all afternoon in! Uncle Henry's is a slightly longer drive, up the A15 - approximately 20 minutes away - but it's worth it!!

Beautiful little country pub in Ingham, about 15 minutes away from the house. Especially beautiful if you can sit outside!

The Dambusters Inn feels like walking into a working World War II museum, full of memorabilia. The bar proudly displays seven real ales, three of which Greg brews in the on-site micro-brewery. The pub is named after the famous RAF 617 squadron at Scampton, now home to the Red Arrows, who can often be seen flying over. An annual beer festival is held in May, commemorating the Dambuster raid; 2018 is the raid’s 75th anniversary. The Dambusters Inn is about a 20 minute drive from the house, but is located close to some brilliant walks. Why not pop in for a drink to quench that thirst?

The Kings Head in Tealby, is The Oldest Thatched Pub in Lincolnshire circa 1367. The King's Head offers a traditional bar menu and an outstanding a la carte menu, Fine Real Ales on rotation and a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere. It's a stereotypically "quaint" pub in the wonderful 'Best Kept Village 2009'!

This is where we regularly walk our dog. There are many trails through the woods here. Great for biking too!

Arts & Culture

You have to book in advance but the Heritage Centre at RAF Scampton is well worth a visit. Anybody interested in the history of the RAF or the Dambusters should arrange a visit.
