This restaurant and Bar is very hip and happening if you like a fun, fresh and young kind of vibe. The food is inspired by both Californian and Mexican cuisine. A funky vibe and great cocktails :)

Elephant Rock Cafe has been an icon in the area for many years and is a family owned and operated business. The views of the Pacific Ocean are breathtaking and the food is great too. For a sit-down breakfast that's close by I recommend the Elephant Rock Cafe :)

The Salt Mill is one of my favourite local coffee shops as they do the BEST coconut cappuccino! (great for those intolerant to dairy) they really do a great coffee in general and it's no wonder they are always super busy. If you like Acai bowls, juices, raw treats and other delights you can find them here. Oh and did I mention it's only a 5 minute drive from The Salty Gum Leaf? (Salty Gum Leaf - Your Private Oasis in Currumbin awaits you)

(great for those intolerant to dairy) they really do a great coffee in general and it's no wonder they are always super busy. If you like Acai bowls, juices, raw treats and other delights you can find them here. Oh and did I mention it's only a 5 minute drive from The Salty Gum Leaf? (Salty Gum Leaf - Your Private Oasis in Currumbin awaits you)
Cafe Bar is soooo much more than a cafe! It serves restaurant quality food for breakfast and lunch and is one of my absolute FAVOURITE places to eat out at. Their menu is so varied and really caters for all dietary requirements. I can't even count how many of my friends and family I've taken there for a delicious meal. The setting is really nice too as it is perched up on the hill at Dbar (right on the border of QLD and NSW) with gorgeous ocean views of the surfers and whales in whale season. Cafe Dbar is only 10minute drive from here.

Barefoot Barista has been well-known by locals for many years and was really one of the first hip coffee shops in the area and has inspired the trend of many other funky coffee shops in the surrounding areas. They make great coffee at Barista and the bites are pretty good too! :)

If you're looking a great breakfast that's close by I highly recommend Wildernis Cafe and Bar at Palm Beach . The atmosphere is very cool and the food is amazing!!! Not the cheapest option but well worth it if you're a foodie and you like some alternative options.

There are 5 restaurants to choose from under the one roof and a great roof top bar that's a must do! I love this place for it's energy and diversity.

I put this one in the nightlife category because it's a great place to go and have a cocktail but also to enjoy the yummy food. They offer starters, wood fire pizza, calzone, chicken & lamb dishes, salads, pasta & desserts. They even offer a banquet option for small and large groups.

If you love beer or maybe you're fan of world-famous surfer Mick Fanning, you will love Balter Brewery! This is Mick's brewery (well he is partnered with a few other folk) and he can often be seen here hanging out. But he's a very humble bloke so don't act all cray cray and ask for a selfie or he might shy away. Instead just enjoy the great craft beer they have on tap and the trendy vibe. :)

This is technically a boutique Mexican restaurant but also a tequila bar (BonBon bar) boasting over 100 varieties of tequila! The atmosphere is like walking into a old school Mexican cantina and the food is some of the best Mexican in town. Highly recommend a visit!

If you like day drinking in a funky setting then this is your place! The Garden Kitchen & Bar caters for groups and individuals and they do a pretty mean cocktail too! I have been to countless events here (engagements, birthdays and Christmas parties) the food is ok. If it's food you are after then perhaps eat somewhere local first or after (there are many great restaurants in Broadbeach so take your pick). I would actually recommend having some late afternoon drinks here and then heading out somewhere for dinner.

The main beach can get a little busy on Sunday's when nippers are on and the southern beach is lovely as it has a southern aspect and meets up with flat rock park (another nice spot to take a picnic lunch) Currumbin is a great spot to surf (at the Alley)
