My mom and I love to walk into this place and choose a six pack of flavored sodas and bags full of saltwater taffy. They have a wide variety of all your favorite treats from childhood, and they let you mix and match sets. I'd definitely recommend this spot for anyone with a sweet tooth.

This place features great local music and world renown acts with smaller draws. They have a dinner + drinks + music option, or just cruise in anytime for drinks and live music. Ocassionally they'll have a s reasonable for the intimate nature of this venue.

This outdoor venue is the perfect size for a city like Santa Barbara. It's large enough to accommodate big crowds, but all the seating has a relatively intimate feel when compared to typical music "bowl" type experiences.

If you have an interest in history and architecture, this is a great spot for you. There are a few parks around it as well, so it's a wonderful spot to set up a picnic.
The botanical gardens are up the road, so it's also a fun pit stop on your way to that.

From movies to stand-up comedy to amazing concerts, this is one of my favorite places in Santa Barbara. In the last year alone, I've seen Star Wars, Ron White and Phantogram there. They serve food and alcohol in the theater, too.
This old movie palace has been kept in wonderful condition. It's living history! The inside of the theater is designed to look like you're outside, with stars on the ceiling and faux storefronts along the walls, it almost feels like the inside of the Paris in Vegas or the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland.
Note: The seats are a little small, so if you're extremely concerned about comfort in that regard, you may want to try a more modern movie theater.

The Arlington Theatre (Metropolitan Theatres)
