All the tourists go to Volendam and Edam, but Broek in Waterland is the true gem. In the 17th century this little village just 13km north of Amsterdam was known around the world for being "a true Dutch village". Napoleon even stayed there!
We suggest renting a bike and biking a leisurely 30 minutes through the country side. In Broek in Waterland, park your bikes and wander around the almost fairy tale like little streets.
