Very casual with a fun, western atmosphere. Also, a good place to pick up snacks for hiking, a quick thirst quencher, and even gas. There is even a Post Office inside.

JJ's is as close to a NY Deli here in Arizona. They've got great breakfast and NY style sandwiches. They even have a great variety of bagels. You can bring your pooch and sit outside on the patio and no one cares. Very friendly place.

El Encanto is a Mexican restaurant with a surprise inside. It has a picturesque pond setting, allowing diners to sit along the water, under a covered patio, and observe and mingle with the playful wildlife, including ducks, turtles, owls, and an amazing blue heron. A fun place to eat. Good food and friendly service and a landmark of Cave Creek. Try the Pollo Fundido.

Bring your water, good shoes, and sunscreen. This hike doesn't look hard, but it winds around and around for almost 2 miles up hill. But the reward is at the top! The view is amazing! Go early when its the coolest.

A bit of a drive (30 miles), but the scenery is beautiful. You'll wind around the roadway until huge bluffs and the lake comes into view. You will need a pass to get in since its Tonto National Park but there are pay stations. Lots to do from hiking, boating, fishing, boat rentals, jet ski rentals, paddle board rentals, and beaches. A pretty quiet lake weekdays. The water is crystal clear!
