If you're looking for an Asian buffet, this is where it's at. It's a step above the usual. Food is always fresh and hot; many different choices. Prices are great. Great for lunch or dinner.

Spectacular (stadium seating) movie theater, a variety of eateries from casual fare (Five Guys), to sports bar (The Yard House), to fine dining (Flemings Steakhouse). Great little boutique shops. Grab a Starbucks and sit outside where you can people watch (lots of celebs are known to visit here) or watch & listen to the beautiful river that flows through the grounds. There's The Cheesecake Factory for dessert, or even better, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to get your fix. Or maybe you'd prefer Ben & Jerry's? Beautiful art gallery on-site, too. This is a MUST GO spot!

Live music nightly; 2 or 3 floors to party. Great drink specials. TVs for live sports events. Food is great for both lunch & dinner (I think they may serve breakfast, too). It's a loud place, so if that's not your thing, you may want to avoid here. But lots of locals dig it, and it's open til 2am (a rarity in this desert).

My girlfriend loves to go here for years now; they've been a fixture here even longer. Super friendly staff; great drinks; fun vibe. Dancing and much more. It's a great environment for all people. LGBT friendly!

Parks & Nature
Most amazing views you'll see of the Coachella Valley! It's actually a private-owned park. There's a fee to take the tram up ($5 parking, too), but the view is worth the money. Lots of great hiking trails, and there's both a fine dining & casual dining eatery. A fully stocked bar, too. It's worth spending a day up here.

Tram Way
Most amazing views you'll see of the Coachella Valley! It's actually a private-owned park. There's a fee to take the tram up ($5 parking, too), but the view is worth the money. Lots of great hiking trails, and there's both a fine dining & casual dining eatery. A fully stocked bar, too. It's worth spending a day up here.
There's several entrances to get into the park (the marker is placed on the 29 Palms entrance). The best one is the entrance from Hwy 62 (aka 29 Palms Hwy) in the town of Joshua Tree. If heading east from Palm Springs, take a right onto Park Blvd and follow it all the way to the park entrance (about 7 miles). Go to Keys View to see the phenomenal view of the Coachella Valley from the opposite angle from the Palm Springs Tram. Last time I checked, it's only $15 entry fee for everyone in 1 car. It allows you access for 7 days.

Great for bird watchers or just nature strollers. You may even forget you're in the desert. Open sunrise to sunset daily. One of our favorite spots to go!

Great for bird watchers or just nature strollers. You may even forget you're in the desert. Open sunrise to sunset daily. One of our favorite spots to go!

There are many different animals and gardens to see. Hiking trails, as well. A little eatery (though we recommend you bring your own lunch). This isn't a typical zoo; it's an animal sanctuary. All of the critters here are not releasable due to prior injuries. Don't forget to visit the goats (you can go inside and pet them). If you love animals and natures, this is where you want to go.

If you need a caffeine boost, you'll also find Starbucks in this same complex, and a few fast food joints if you're hungry (Subway, El Pollo Loco, frozen yogurt).
