Parks & Nature
We love this spot because you can get right up to the Hudson River. There is vast open space around the mansion, and a network of trails. Our favorite runs right along the Hudson, rising at times so you're above the water looking down, and then falling so you're right at water level.

Stissing Mountain is a great hike if you're looking for climb! You will be rewarded at the top. Climb up the watch tower for an incredible view clear across Dutchess County. Park in the Thompson Pond Preserve parking lot. The hike took us 90 minutes round trip, with some hanging out time at the top.
