The train station dating from 1920 - awesome (!)
A remnant of bygone times, the picturesque Hua Hin train station is one of the stops on the route from Bangkok to the South. The station is located in the center of town, in walking distance from attractions as the night market and the main beach. Its main attraction is the Royal Waiting Room which was used by Thai Royals when they visited the seaside summer Palace. Pictured on postcards and t-shirts, the building is one of Hua Hin’s most recognizable landmarks.

Some six kilometers south of Hua Hin lies the small village of Khao Takiab. From Hua Hin beach you can see Khao Takiab mountain with its most distinct feature, a very impressive golden colored 20 meters high Buddha statue overlooking the sea.
- Monkey mountain: large number of macaque monkeys live on top of the mountain, in the area close to Wat Khao Lad temple. This is an excellent opportunity to see them from very close and a lot better than in a zoo, since they live free here and are not contained in cages.

One of its attractions is the Phraya Nakhon cave, a large natural cave with stalagmites and stalactites. The cave also contains the Kuha Karuhas pavilion, built late 19th century for the visit of King Chulalongkorn.
