Very, very tasty Asian style cooking. Their ingredients are fresh, and the atmosphere is unhurried and friendly. Fairly large menu with several styles of cooking; and my favorite.....tempura!

Fine dining with a homemade salad dressing that is out of this world. Great selection of steaks and seafood. Located on highway 14, above Ridgecrest, it also has a beautiful view of the valley.

Homey atmosphere with excellent Mexican flair food. Table area is smaller but well worth the wait. Restaurant can get crowded on weekends, but they move through pretty quickly.

Great sports bar restaurant. It is a lively and popular spot. Food is phenomenal, and they have quite a selection of ice cold beers. It is a little loud, but the bustley activity is worth watching.

Sightseeing
The highest mountain in the contiguous United States. The town of Lone Pine and the base of the Sierras has a movie museum. A lot of westerns and other types of movies have been filmed there since the 1930's and maybe earlier. Absolutely spectacular views.

A natural wonder just off the road from Ridgecrest to Death Valley. Eerie, and quiet with a with a wonder of how these tufas were created. Definitely worth a side trip to see.

A great lake only one hour away from Ridgecrest. Known for watercrafting and fishing, it is a unique valley to explore. The Kern River fills the lake from the north as has rafting outfitters. Kernville is a town on the north side of the lake that is quaint and has small shops to explore.
