Tokomaru Bay is 1hr 15 mins from Gisborne. It is steeped in shipping history and the Tavern is welcoming and laid back. Great inexpensive meals, full bar facilities. A shirt drive to the wharf which is curse fly being restored.

Sightseeing

We have a body board that you can take to use. A blown up inner tube is best though.
The rock slides are famous in Gisborne for being a great fix for an adrenalin junkie. Its worth the drive just to watch others. We have some body boards available to use on the slide, please don't hesitate to ask for them.

Again another local favourite. Wonderful to swim and always tempting to go under the falls. It can be done but with caution.

This is a brilliant walk for the average walker. Once you reach the top the lookout the view of the Tologa Bay Wharf is amazing. Well worth the climb. Pack a picnic, take good walking gear and warm clothing in case the weather changes. The walkway is closed during lambing season if they are mustering. Please check online before planning your trip.

This Council funded walkway takes you from Midway beach all the way out to Wainui Beach. Please keep to the left of the walkways and use bike bells to alert people ahead you are coming.
