Delicious cakes and sweet treats. Has tables outside in the Litte Triangle where you can eat the goodies, enjoy the coffee and watch the world go by.
This popular local pub serves up good lunch/brunch and evening meals. It is on the back beach 2 doors down from my place with wonderful views up the River Teign. Live music on a Sunday evening between 6.30-8.30. Look out for food deals.

Special events on some evenings - could be science quiz, a talk of any kind, live music e.g. Blues night, Open mike, or a themed food night. Open from 8 am to 3 pm out of season. Starting to serve roast dinners from November 6th using meat from the local butchers 12.30-3.00 - still checking on the veggie option. A five minute walk from my place. Take the short cut - past the New Quay, along Gales Hill, and down Sun Lane. Turn right.
Friendly service from the owners. Best fish and chip shop in town! Two minutes from my place. Closed Mondays. Check opening times on door. Think it's 9 pm at the moment.

Getting Around
The main line North and South and is a 10 minute walk on the flat through the town, from my place. This is highly recommended way to travel locally. The journey from Teignmouth to Exeter is very scenic, as the train hugs the coast, the red cliff, goes past Powderham castle with it grazing deer. Get to the small historic city of Exeter in 30 mins (get off at Exeter Central for the city centre). Or travel south to Totnes (around 15 minutes) or Plymouth (about 60 minutes).
