Our favorite place to eat is just a few minutes bike ride away, just down the road, through the park, over the biking/walking suspension bridge, and you're into downtown.

Hike the ladder trails along Lake Michigan sand dunes, or if it's hot out, go for a swim. The beaches are beautiful and seem to stretch forever. We're pretty far north here, so unless there's a warm current or you're pretty hardy, an inland lake such as Mauthe Lake, Random Lake, or Elkhart Lake is a cozier choice.

When you're done with the water slides, park at the tip of S Pier Dr, and walk out the lighthouse, along the shoreline path, and up the river boardwalk.
