There is a short cut behind our place on the corner of Rockingham Road & Hampton Road to the beach, a one k walk. Turn right as you leave the house and left at the end of Newmarket Street, the bike path to South Beach is directly in front of you across Hampton Road. South Beach is dog free but there are dog beaches to the left and right. There are bbqs, a kiosk, changing rooms and a basketball court.

Public transport is quick and easy
Every bus on Hampton Road heading north will take you to Fremantle. Coming home, go to the Train station or the stop outside Freo Markets and ask the bus drivers if they go along Hampton Road as far as Clontarf. Uber or Didi are good options. The train to Perth is really easy and parking in Perth is tricky.
