Arrive before 11.30 for weekend lunch. as it gets very busy Head right as you enter and settle down on the sofas for lots of space and fun things for older kids to do. Or turn right for the younger kids' playground but it gets quite noisy.

We recommend booking but they do take walk-ins. A great place to start or end your night with an aperitif. Their food is full of flavors and worth sharing plates with friends.

Nestled in the corner of the Warders Hotel and part of the larger Emily Tailor restaurant and Fremantle markets. This is the perfect spot to grab a coffee to escape the busyness of Fremantle. It's also a special spot to have a cocktail and start your night.

Sightseeing

It is a beautiful place to walk and enjoy the sun with seral coffee vans along the route towards the old power station. There are lots of cafes, restaurants, and a brewery in this area. More local than Fremantle town center. Have a pint and the best chips and watch the sunset at Running with thieves then head over to La Cabana's or Matilda's bar for great food.

One of my favorite places to take a walk. Park on Johanna st and then head left or right along the river. There is a great coffee van in the morning that sells the best homemade bakes like Portuguese tarts. Along the river, there are small cabana huts that you can set up for a while and watch the kids play in the river.

Check out what's on at the Art Center before you arrive. They have many courses, art events, and music festivals. In the Summer season, local bands and singers perform live n the garden every Sunday. There's also a great shop that sells WA's best local craft pieces.

The only place in Perth where you can sit on the Beach under an umbrella, Mediterranean style, and order some lunch and a drink. Waiter service makes this a great afternoon to relax. The beach is safe for kids to play on too and easy to keep an eye on them from the sunbeds.

Enjoy this beach on a Saturday day or Sunday afternoon. You can walk all the way up to Swanborne beach. Start with a coffee or breakfast at the Orange Box or Bib and Tucker then meander along the beach to Cottesloe to Il Lido for lunch or The Shorehouse in Swanborne for refreshments. The beach does have some surf nearer Cottesloe but it is the perfect space to take a fresh dip in the Summer. The shower and toilet facilities are really good here. TIP: Avoid it in the Summer Sunday mornings from 8 am to 11 am whilst Nippers is on. It is one of the biggest life-saving clubs in the Southern Hemisphere so no parking at the Leighton end and certainly not peaceful. However, a great place to be if you want to see a true Aussie family summer.

The perfect day trip or place to stay a while. Ferries run several times to this unique island. Once here head straight to Pinky's end of town onwards the further round the island you go the more untouched the beaches become. The best way to get around is to hire bikes and explore. Food can be expensive so take a picnic if on a budget and don't eat at the pub!

This is a free area for the kids to enjoy. There's a large skate park and outdoor parkour park. It's close to the fishing harbor where you can get lunch at Little Creators or many Fish and chip venues. TIp; Get there early or late afternoon to avoid the crowds. If you don't have a board there is a large climbing frame and kids' playground next door. If your kids are older you can sit at the Esplanade as it's close enough to keep an eye on them and you can relax away from them.

My favorite bar

One of my favorite local bars, it's based in North Fremantle but an easy Uber to this place. They have a great courtyard all year round that has heaters or shade. They have a great wine list but no food, however, they hold the menus for Propella (pizza's/ bread) and Flipside burgers that are next door. You have to go to them to order but the staff will ring your food over when it's ready. Habitu and Propella serve great food if you want to go somewhere to eat. Mojos is also next door if you want to catch a live band. TIp. Get to the bar for 4pm in winter and settle next to the fire if you can. The fire is lit at 5 pm and it's the best seat in the house.
