An absolute ‘So Very Harrogate’ must. Unfortunately often queues to get a table during busy times - though if you’re going for the whole afternoon tea experience you can book in advance. Leisurely breakfast/brunch is also worth a thought for that special start to the day.
You can also buy Betty’s scrumptious treats over the counter - but warning, it soon adds up ££££

Absolute favourite restaurant of mine for a leisurely lunch or dinner. Wonderful Asian seafood restaurant serving meat, poultry and vegetarian dishes too - one of those places where it’s great to order a few dishes to sit in the middle of the table and share from - the monkfish massaman curry is sublime! They do a reasonably priced set menu up to 6pm
I’ve been recommending Fisk to guests for some time now and it’s had great feedback - one recent couple went there twice as part of a three night stay!
About a 10 to 15 minute walk from the flat- downhill going / uphill coming back!

Lovely Italian restaurant about 5 minutes from the flat - delicious food but they don’t serve pizza, fine by me but a no for my husband who loves his pizza!

Obviously very much a chain these days, but still an absolutely lovely restaurant space and atmosphere and we’ve always enjoyed the food there. Great for a special occasion - we had our silver wedding family dinner there. Just the thought of those Ivy Royale cocktails🍸🍸🍸 🥰

Bars and pubs
Beautiful historic pub with original Victorian gas lighting at the bar - very atmospheric. Been there quite a few evenings and always seems to have a great traditional pub vibe- currently no food service though.
(On Crescent Road, about a 15 minute walk from the flat.)

he Fat Badger on Cold Bath Road has been named the best pub in North Yorkshire at the National Pub & Bar Awards 2023. Never been myself, but checking out the reviews makes it worth a mention.
