Calpine is close to a lot!
Calpine is very low key, and close to some of the most beautiful and serene lakes, fishing holes, hiking trails, and restaurants. If you can, don't miss a trip to Johnsville to witness the resurgence of the Downhill Ski resort currently being updated and brought back to life. Sledding has been a family favorite in that spot for years. 4th of July in Graeagle is a must, and the fireworks show around the pond is spectacular. Calpine offers easy access without the congestion of Graeagle.
