Nant y Fran is a dairy farm run by a young local family. The farm has around 300 Fresian cows, milked in the most sustainable way possible. The cattle graze for the majority of the year and produce high-quality milk. To maintain the natural taste the milk is not homogenised just gently pasteurised.
The Llefrith Nant Dairy vending machines are located in a small parking area just off the A5025, at the turning to the Gadlys Hotel. You can buy milk bottles – and bags to carry them in – and then get them filled with either fresh full-fat milk or milkshakes.
The standard flavours of milkshake are banana, strawberry and chocolate. In addition, there will be one extra flavour each week, announced on the board at the vending machines. All ingredients for the milkshakes are also listed.
