Hiking

Water Canyon is like our own secret Zion. It's a beautiful 4ish miles round trip hike when you end at the waterfall section. You can continue hiking for miles, but the trail is less visible. Some rock scrambling and hiking in sand is required, and we would rate this a moderately difficult hike. Gorgeous views of the canyon and although the trail is out of water, you could potentially hike in the water if you're more willing to boulder and have a more challenging hike. Easy to find! Simply head East on Utah Avenue and turn right on Water Canyon Road. It takes about 10 minutes after turning on Water Canyon road to reach the trail head. You will pass a parking area on the right for Squirrel Canyon, keep going. The next parking lot is likely where you'll need to park as the smaller parking lot at the trail head only holds a few cars. There is an outhouse at the beginning of the trail.

This is a cool hike that has few travelers. Some hiking in sand. You can hike for a very long distance and eventually get on top of the mountain (we haven't made it that far yet). After a few miles you come to a cool slot canyon that potentially has water.

El Capitan - Hike to Ol' Glory!

If you are an advanced thrill seeking hiker, El Capitan is for you! The last time we hiked was in 2016, as this is a challenging hike. You have to be willing to search for the trail, scramble up rocks, crawl along small ledges and trust ropes that have been left by hikers before you. If this sounds like something you're interested in, message me for details on how to get to the trail head. You will likely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to reach the trail head. *there are also local guides that you can hire for this unlisted hike
