Beautiful water falls - the first of 3 at this location. Lower Falls is easily accessible from the parking lot. There are picnic tables and latrines. There is an easy and beautiful path alongside the river, that winds briefly through the campground, and takes you from Lower to Middle Falls which is even larger. (Approx. 1.5 miles) Great picnic spot!

This beautiful falls is only a gentle 1.5 mile hike from the lower falls. The path winds beside the river, past the campground and latrines, and through beautiful old growth trees. The cool spray from the falls is refreshing and cooling on summer days. Well worth the hike.

The smallest waterfall in the area is a great place to start to see them all. This is a 5 min walk from the parking area, just off I-5. You can walk under/behind the falls and continue on the path a few more minutes to an overlook of the river.

Note: I am not sending you to the campground- it was the most accurate "place" listing that came up as an option. The meadow and spring are above the campground, so you can drive further up Everitt Memorial to the parking lot and walk in from there. Beautiful meadow with wildflowers and pure mountain spring and stream. A pristine place to visit, meditate and BE. The road to the upper parking lot is only accessible after July 4th and before the first snow. Exquisite.

This is where the Sacramento River emerges from underground and begins.... It takes 50 years for the water to reach the surface and it is pure, alive, vibrant water. Take your water bottle to fill at the Source. Delicious! Located in the City Park, there is also a large meadow there, picnic tables, a playground and bathrooms.

This is the largest waterfall in the area, so I suggest you build the anticipation and see it after the others in the area. It is about 40 miles past McCloud /Fowler Falls, and 1 hour total from Mt. Shasta. Make sure you have a full tank of gas and the food /water you want as there is nothing around there other than the general store. You can view the falls from the overlook adjacent to the parking lot. There is a zig zag (mostly paved) path down to the falls with some stairs- but mostly ramp. It will be much cooler at the bottom, so take a light jacket if the day is cooler. There is an arched bridge to the left, that crosses over the stream just below the falls that takes you on a circular trail back over the stream before the falls to the parking lot. If you continue straight ahead and go further down the trail, you will come to a beautiful lake. The state park charges an $8.00 per car fee to get in. There is a general store and flushing toilets there.

This meadow is easily accessible from the road (Everitt Memorial Hwy.) There are latrines there. This is the highest point you can drive to in the winter. In the summer, it is the trailhead to Horsecamp, a resting point on the way to summit the mountain.
