Food scene
Ice cream cones as big as your head! This place is small but mighty. The staff is incredible and the ice cream is amazing. 18 holes makes for a full mini-golf experience! If you plan to do both, we recommend golfing first and then enjoying a sweet treat afterwards. The "baby" cone is the size of a standard ice cream cone so be sure to come hungry!

Nut-Zee’s is a local restaurant that we’ve been going to for over 20 years. It is family friendly, has great food, and is a true Northwoods experience. Their Friday night fish fry and broasted chicken dinner are our favorite! It’s not a huge restaurant, so plan ahead and be prepared to wait a bit out back or at the bar during their busy times.

Ditch Runners (now known as Winding Trail Grill & Bar) is a classic Northwoods bar & grill. Fried food, a full bar, large back deck, and occasional live music make this a fun place to pop in for drinks and apps!

Perfect for picking up a few items and supporting local, Prairie Pines Bulk Foods is a Mennonite store located 10 minutes away on Highway 17. They carry produce, canned goods, a full-service deli, bulk candy, and really amazing soft serve ice cream. Their deli counter is always fully stocked and fresh- we recommend planning your groceries around a stop at this local store.

Fishing
Aquatic Arts is our go to location for fishing licenses, tackle, and live bait. Night crawlers work best for pan fishing on our lake, and the Northern Suckers they carry is what we use for musky and northern pike.

Ament Lake and its counterpart, Tahoe, are small and secluded but accessible by vehicle. Both are known for trout fishing and also allow catch & release of small and largemouth bass. The crystal clear water and absolute quiet of this spot make it a hidden gem in the Northwoods.

Kordick Lake is well off the beaten path and the roads to get there are quite rocky, but we know you won't be disappointed once you arrive! Zero depth entry make it easy to launch a kayak, canoe, or rowboat. The shoreline is ideal for bass fishing and the rope swing is fun for cooling off on a hot summer day!

The Olde Towne Mall is a local antique shop that also offers pottery painting. No reservation is needed- just stop on in and pick your piece! You can take finished pieces home the same day or pick up after 24 hours, whichever is more convenient for you. T
