If you're looking for a good meal at a good price from early morning til about 3 P.M. Andreas is a good stop. Good prices for large portions and one of favorites for a simple local meal. Located on 29 Palms Highway just past Adobe on the north side. Big A frame restaurant. Better than Denny's.

Looking for a free hike to the 49 Palms Oasis? Best if hiked before May. However, if you do decide to brave the heat, bring plenty of sunscreen, water, and leave very early as the sun will drain you and there is no place for shade except at the Oasis. Definitely a hike reserved for the cooler months. Recommended between October and April. Beautiful place to catch the Spring bloom. Summer month can be extremely hot with high chance for heat illness and exposure. A very cool extinct volcano located approximately 1 hour from our airbnb. Hydrate no matter what time of year you go. Have good hiking shoes or running shoes. No areas for good shade but there is something of beauty to observe from the peak. Read more so you can plan well.

Definitely a hike reserved for the cooler months. Recommended between October and April. Beautiful place to catch the Spring bloom. Summer month can be extremely hot with high chance for heat illness and exposure. A very cool extinct volcano located approximately 1 hour from our airbnb. Hydrate no matter what time of year you go. Have good hiking shoes or running shoes. No areas for good shade but there is something of beauty to observe from the peak. Read more so you can plan well.

While you're on this excursion check out the integratron.
