Located at the slope of the Miscanti Volcano, Miscanti Lagoon has a surface of 15 km2, at 4,200 masl, its neighboor Meñiques Lagoon is located 5 meters lower, with a surface of 1.5 km2. These lagoons are part of the Flamingo’s National Reserve and were witnesses of the first human settlements of the zone: about 4,000 to 3,000 B.C

You will travel about 150 kilometers to get to Piedras Rojas, located at more than 4,000 meters above sea level before following the excursion to the high plateau lagoons (Miscanti and Miñiques). On the way you could see foxes, vizcachas, pequén, ñandú and flamenco of James and Chilean.
