6 Jiráskovo nám.Faust's House or Mladotov Palace is originally a Gothic building from the 14th century, which was renaissance and baroque. The house was built in the place of a pagan burial ground near the road connecting Prague Castle and Vysehrad. Perhaps the most famous owner of the house was the Rudolfinum alchemist Edward Kelly, who bought the house in 1590. Another mysterious owner was Count Ferdinand Antonin Mladot of Solopysk, who had in the house instruments operating on the principles of optics, electricity and magnetism and dummies moving on a drawn pen or self- door.
