  • This is our second stay with Krystal & Mandy. Different room, but same quality. I love coming home to NOLA - I miss the food and especially the people! Krystal and Mandy's place is in a good location within walking distance to the French Quarter, public transportation, and the Superdome! We have always felt safe here and have never heard our neighbors. You will hear an occasional emergency vehicle siren, but this apartment is IN the CBD - so this is expected. We park across the street in the recommended parking garage and felt our car was safe there - and it is only $25/night which is a good deal in NOLA. The apartment was clean and the amenities were appropriate. For folks that want to know: They have a Keuirg with 4 coffee pods. We brought our own pods, creamer and sweetener. There is a washer & dryer with some laundry pods available. If you have sensitivities - bring your own (duh). There is a hair dryer, iron, silverware, plates & glassware, cooking set, plenty of clothes hangers, and towels. They do supply shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in a dispenser in the shower. Worked for us and less stuff for us to pack! The bed was very comfortable. We had one very minor issue, contacted Krystal & Mandy, and they responded immediately. Issue solved. We will stay with them again. Oh - AND the SAINTS beat the Texans! WHO DAT!

  • Dear Krystal and Mandy. Thank you for all you did to make our 7 day stay at the apartment incredibly memorable, comfortable and without a doubt we will return and stay in this apartment again. We have had some disappointment with other arbnbs in the past but not this time. Do not hesitate to book this apartment. After a week of work and French Quarter Festival, it was so pleasant to come back to an apartment that was so inviting. I loved all the windows and natural light. We hope that future renters take care of the apartment as we did as if it was your own home. We do not know who the owner is, but they are lucky to have Krystal and Mandy managing. We had a few little details to work out but you addressed them immediately. Yes you are warned that because you are on the 15th floor the street noise travels – but no problem bring a good set of ear plugs and night shades. The incredibly comfortable bed will put you to sleep so you have no worries. We loved the location and the building staff were pleasant and answered any questions. Two recommendations would be to have the owner put some hooks up outside the shower and sink area for bathing towels that would be a nice little addition. We hope to book next year when we are back out in New Orleans. Kind regards, Margarita and Peadar, Sonoma Callifornia

  • It was a very cozy place convenient to everything. Wish it was my private apartment!

    Rebecca2019-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Warm, welcoming, clean, and comfortable with all the amenities we needed! A great place to stay with extremely attentive hosts! We will definitely be choosing this spot again!

  • Krystal and Mandy’s place was the perfect stay for my boyfriend and I. The apartment was decorated so chic and the building was very safe. It is in a great location. It’s a short walk to the French Quarter. The only thing I would advise future guests is something out of Krystal and Mandy’s control: the noise. I had read other reviews about it being noisy, but I didn’t anticipate what kind of noise and the level of it. The building has very thin walls, so when the people next door open their doors, it sounds like they’re entering your apartment. The apartment is near a hospital, so there were a lot of sirens. But all this noise did die down towards the end of the night. Definitely will be staying here again. Thank you all for a wonderful stay!

  • Very nice and comfortable place to stay

    Cody2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Krystal and Mandy’s apartment is clean and cozy. It’s a good size and in a great location in the business district, close to some of the best restaurants the city has to offer and just a short two-minute walk into the heart of the French Quarter. We enjoyed laying out on the rooftop lounge chairs on a sunny day. Krystal and Mandy are also great communicators and were quick to reply to all our questions. We enjoyed our stay.

  • Matthew was exceptionally accommodating and easy to work with. His place is a comfortable set-up in a nice, quiet neighborhood located conveniently near the St. Charles streetcar line and shops.

  • This place is great for a New Orleans getaway!! It’s the perfect size with all the amenities and song guest or couple would need. Great location to restaurants and night life...or just a quick street car ride or Lyft to other parts of the city. Matthew is a great host. The house was clean and tidy, and we loved having the quiet neighborhood to retreat to after a long day of sightseeing.

    Kati2018-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED staying here! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!

    barri2017-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This has become our new go-to place in NOLA and by far, the best airbnb/homeaway experience I have ever had. After being cancelled due to maintenance by another airbnb host, I came across this listing and was able to secure. The pictures do not do this place justice. We loved the bead art and other pieces of art they used. The neighborhood is beautiful, with lots of places to eat close by and a quick drive or streetcar ride to anywhere in the city. Matthew and K have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable, with any amenity you could think of: Shampoo/conditioner, laundry products, pots, pans, towels, umbrella, great linens, comfy bed, a couple of Ibita's, washer/dryer, etc.... We unwittingly unplugged the wireless router and Matt immeidately go on it to help us figure out the error of our ways. There is a private entrance with a porch and off street parking is provided. The day we knew we were meant to stay here was the afternoon that we found a lost dog wandering in the pouring down rain. After 20 minutes and making several attempts to get the dog, we finally lost sight of it, gave up and drove back to the studio. Upon turning in the driveway, to both of our surprise, there sat the dog in the driveway, like she was waiting for us and she had no idea that was where we were going!!!! We left the owner a message and then went to address on the tag, which was Notre Dame Seminary and we couldn't figure that one out. A short time later, the out-of-town owner called and someone was sent to retrieve the dog and that is when we learned that we had found Archbishop Aymond's dog, Maggie, who had become frightened in the thunderstorm and taken off. And she did live iin his residence at the seminary. K was great about the dog and waited with us while we waited for someone to come get her. We knew then we were meant to stay in this lovely little studio. That and Matt is a fireman, as were all of the men on my dad's side of the family in NOLA, going back for over 125 years, with a plot at Cypress Grove, the firemen cemetery. Yeah, I'm weird like that about signs, lol! He was nice enough to try to get me some information about the stations they worked out of. I have told all of my friends about it and I know that the next they go to NOLA they will be asking me about where we stayed. We left feeling like we had made 2 new friends and I hope we did!!! Next time, y'all are coming with us to Snug Harbor to see Charmaine! Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality and for sharing your home with us; see you next year, if not sooner!!xoxo

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire. Additional bedroom is available for groups traveling together or families traveling with children. Please discuss your group's needs with the host. New Orleans license number is 17STR-06526.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house just off the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iron, music player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. A second bedroom is available for groups, so the space can be made to accommodate 1-4 people. We welcome special requests and will make every effort to assist with needed recommendations. We can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your childen. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • Cozy and cushy! Erin offers all the luxury of a high-end hotel at a fraction of the price. She was courteous and respectful of privacy while still being welcoming and attentive. Great place!

    Charley2015-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • It is a great spot and accurately depicted on this site. The only thing i would say is some screen in the windows would be great.

    Jason2016-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Description is very accurate. Photos and description are accurate. I used public transportation a lot and very much enjoyed doing that. It's a great place to come home to. I knew Erin was only a text message away for any questions or concerns. Lots of information provided. The bed is very comfortable with good quality bedding. And it was nice to see high quality products left for bathroom use. Snacks were appreciated!

    Maighread2016-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great! As advertised. Very cute, clean, and comfortable. Just what we were looking for.

    Katie2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful 3 nights staying in Erin's home! The room was very comfortable & the private entrance made it easy to come & go. We used the streetcar thru our entire stay...it was so convenient our car didn't leave the driveway until we were ready to leave town! Erin was easily accessible throughout our visit, making sure the heat was at a comfortable temp & that the noise level of her family wasn't an issue. Snacks & drinks were a great addition, & Erin's neighborhood recommendations were welcome. We felt safe coming & going & were greeted warmly by the neighbors. We would definitely stay in this charming spot again!

    Libby2013-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Stay at Erin’s house was a good experience. The rooms were spacious and correspond to the photos. We will definitely repeat if we return to New Orleans

    Brogan2019-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this cute, comfortable and quiet room. Used the streetcar and bus to get around, but could have driven. Parking looked not to be a problem anywhere. Visited all points of interest, but found our best breakfast and dinner right in the neighborhood. The ruby slipper on Cortez and Kate's on iberville, Excellent food and service, and walkable from the shotgun. Thanks so much!

This is a true New Orleans cottage, charming and comfortable.

  • Katharine gave us a warm welcome upon our arrival. She gave us a guided tour of the house and provided us with loads of useful information for our stay in New Orleans. Her house was a delight for the 4 of us to spend a few days in. It was extremely clean and very comfortable. It is set in a great location with easy walking access to local coffee shops and restaurants. The French Quarter was a short uber ride away.

  • This property is an amazing mix of new and shabby chic in the heart of the city. Uber rides to French Quarter cost around $10-12. Very clean, plenty of towels and the AC keeps the house nice and cool during those scorcher NOLA days. Located off a busy street, but property was very quiet. Tons of local eats and drinks within walking distance, as well as grocery store. Would totally book this property next time I'm in the NOLA area.

  • Fernando was a great host and the apartment was perfect. Muchas gracias!

Recomendable.

    Julian2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was everything we hoped it would be. Fernando's studio was clean and accurate to his description that he provided. We would recommend his place to our family and friends!

    Amy2016-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fernando was a great host, he made sure we had everything we needed, very friendly and helpful, the apt is just as described, cozy, clean and efficient, the location is great, the 24 hrs gas station around the corner was very convenient for late night needs, we walked to the French Quarter during the day and came back on a $6 Uber ride, couldn't be happier with the place we picked for our stay in New Orleans, Thank you!

  • Nice place to stay. I didn't meet Fernando but I had all the information to find the appartment and to open the door easely. The room is confortable. The neighborhood is ok. I appraciated the streetcar to go downtown at 10 minutes by foot.

  • Great location near city park in the north of the city. Easy access to the park where you can quickly catch a street car to the French quarter or business district. Very cosey and private accommodation. Includes coffee, microwave and fridge. Also had a single burner for light weight cooking.

  • Very close to everything, literally a 10-15 minutes Uber ride to everywhere. The space is small but perfect for two people (any more than that would be uncomfortable) very nice host and in a very nice and quiet area.

The Quisby is a modern upscale hostel in the Lower Garden District. We have ridiculously comfortable beds, free breakfast, blazing fast WiFi throughout for making friends back home jealous, and a bar downstairs for making new friends. We are steps from the WWII Museum, The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Contemporary Arts Center, and a dozen famous restaurants and bars. The French Quarter is less than one mile away. The St. Charles Ave Streetcar stops 100 feet from our front door.
We are a bunch of misfits and lovable trouble makers. Some of us have always called New Orleans home. Others came for a few days and never left. What we share in common is a mission to create a new kind of hostel in New Orleans. Every space is designed with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. We believe anyone that makes it to New Orleans in their lifetime is lucky and we're here help you make the most of that good fortune.
We are located conveniently between the Warehouse/Arts District, with three world class museums at our doorstep, and the famed Lower Garden District, full of New Orleans architectural splendor for you to explore. We're also a short stroll from plenty of bars and restaurants ranging from New Orleans establishments to neighborhood gems.

  • Beautifully run, wonderful room with storage (and locks at the front desk), rooms have a private bath with shower, head and shoulders above what I would have expected. The first story lounge was a great socializing area, I parked within a block all three nights I was there, I highly recommend The Quisby for the traveler on a budget or anyone else.

Why rent a room when you can rent a tiny house for your trip to New Orleans. This 650 sq ft home is just steps away from the French Quarter. Everything from Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, streetcar, bikeshare, and the Central Business District are all just a short stroll away. Private entrance through luscious garden. Perfect for a couple or a couple of friends. Cleaning fee is included in nightly rate. (City License: 18STR-15360; Operator License: 19OSTR-27023)
***Parties over 2 persons will not be considered and will be turned away upon arrival. Only guests listed on the reservation are allowed on the property.*** Our guesthouse is located in the rear of our property. Estimated to have been built in 1837 (the same date as the main house), this space has gone through a total transformation. A mix of modern and old New Orleans bundled into a small house. There are 8 sets of French doors, and 4 sets of casement windows, allowing for the space to be drenched in natural light. When the weather is nice and a cool breeze is blowing, there is nothing better than opening all the doors and windows so you can take in all the sounds the neighborhood has to offer. Downstairs is an open living room and kitchen area with a complete 4 piece kitchen suite (full sized fridge stocked with bottled water and a Keurig with coffee), and a moveable island. There is also a flat screen TV with DVR, HBO, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Netflix and Prime are already logged in for you to use. A spiral staircase leads you upstairs where there is a king sized bed, walk-in closet, a spacious bathroom, and 12 foot ceilings with exposed beams. Want to lounge outside? Hang out in the shared courtyard or if you prefer privacy there is a private patio behind the guesthouse. Parties over 2 persons will not be considered (city law) and will be turned away upon arrival. Only guests listed on the reservation are allowed on the property. We live on the property and make a point of meeting all guests at check-in. Sneaking extra guests onto the property is not a possibility. Any attempt to do so will result in a cancellation of the reservation. Parking is street parking which is unrestricted and free to all. Cleaning fee is included in the nightly rate so there is no extra hidden fees when staying with us. (City License: 18STR-15360; 19OSTR-27023)
The Treme is a wonderful and unique neighborhood unlike any other in the United States. St. Augustine Church is on the corner, which leads to many Jazz Funerals and Second Lines. The church also has an amazing Sunday Mass that is open to the public. As a younger nephew noted, "It's not really Sunday Mass, it's a concert!" Mardi Gras Indians regularly wander the neighborhood, as well as brass bands, musicians, and a pair of cowboys who are always walking their llamas, Shetland ponies, and goats. There is always something going on and the people in the neighborhood are friendly and talkative. You can learn just as much about New Orleans from the folks on the street in the Treme as you could with a tour guide charging you an arm and a leg to walk around the Quarter.
  • We had a fantastic stay at Brad and Brett's guesthouse! The property was stunning and fully of quirky character features making it a pleasant change from bland hotels. Brad and Brett were very helpful and provided us with a host of places to visit! Would love to stay here again, when we revisit, hopefully in the not too distant future!

    Matt2016-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing host with lots of knowledge about great local spots and history. The location is perfect for walking to all the best French Quarter sites. Bret also has the most amazing garden to sip your coffee in each morning. I highly recommend this house!! This was our first airbnb experience and it exceeded all our expectations.

    Andrea2018-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is an AMAZING place. The house is very spacious and a bunch of amenities are included! It's very safe with its own locked gate to the street and is in a very convenient spot to walk to the French Quarter (without being too close to all the noise for when you want to finally go to sleep). Bret, the host, is extremely friendly and helpful. We got in a little later than expected and he waited up for us to give us the keys. He was always willing to offer recommendations, ontop of his guidebook that is offered in the app. He also checked in on us almost every day of our trip to make sure we were alright and having a good time. Super, duper recommended if you are planning a visit to New Orleans!

    Amanda2018-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Bret’s place is fantastic and very close to all you want to see in New Orleans, his helpful advice art us up well on our stay and the house is just Lovell with many charming features.

    Lindsay2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Brad & Brett lodgings, it was clean, comfortable and luxurious. Brett told us some of the history of the house and area when we arrived which was interesting. They are the perfect hosts with three friendly dogs on site. The location is perfect three blocks from Bourbon street and walking distance from many of the tourist attractions. We did get a day pass on the Streetcars for $3 which was useful. We highly recommend the lodgings and will stay again when we return to New Orleans.

    Ron2016-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is the place to stay in New Orleans. Brad was so helpful and accommodating from the start. It was truly a home away from home and even more charming in person. It was clean, updated and very unique which just added to our whole vacation experience. Brad and Bret were so sweet giving us their recommendations of places to eat and see - they also have three very cute dogs and we just felt like we were staying with old friends. Perfect location too! The French Quarter was just steps away making all the fun sights and places very walkable. We honestly spent a good amount of time just hanging at the house too, cause we felt so relaxed there. They were the perfect hosts, and this was the perfect place; we not only recommend, but look forward to staying here again.

  • A splendid space with modern & historic touches and stylish setting. All the amenities and chocolates was a sweet gesture. Seahorse saloon is so close and the location was perfect to visit the French Quarter. I loved staying at Cody & Leo’s place.. the shower was my favorite. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. There is lights that light up the walkway that helps a lot returning after dark. I would recommend this wonderful casita gentilly to everyone who wants to experience an authentic NOLA life.

  • My fiancée and I requested to drop our luggage off at the unit early, as we had just debarked from our 5 day cruise. Cody & Leo was more than happy to accommodate us. When we got to the unit, it was as described and very clean, stylish, and comfortable! Definitely recommend this host! 5 stars from us! Jim Duffle Elizabeth Davis (To whom I proposed to while in Yucatán, she even said YES!)

    Jim2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cody and Leo’s place was exceptionally clean and very accommodating. I’ve stayed at a few places and let’s just say this one is at the top of my list. If you have any questions Cody and Leo responds time is fairly quick. The location was great, not to close but not to far from the main attractions, plus they provide bikes. You also have the option to Uber or Lyft to your desired destination if it’s too far. I HIGHLY recommend staying here, great place to stay!

  • Dale is a wonderful host. He welcomed and showed us around the house. It’s located in nice and quiet neighborhood.

  • Dale greeted me when I arrived and provided a tour. Communication was clear, and he replied rapidly to any messages. The room was just as pictured. This was an amazing Airbnb for a very reasonable price in New Orleans. The bedroom and bathroom we spotless. I certainly would stay again with Dale.

    Todd2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Dales place smells mildly of dog pee but I didn’t mind, honestly. His dog Rufus was a delight. The place was clean and met every expectation I had, even went above and beyond with this cool nightlight by the bed. He let me use his google chrome cast thing after he went to bed which was super cool of him! (There is a TV in the bedroom but no way to watch it without a chrome cast or similar device so bring it if you have it!)

    Robert2018-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived, Mac was there to let us in. The unit he put us in was different than the one we'd reserved, but it was an upgrade. It had a full kitchen, laundry, and was a much larger space. It was very clean, and we felt comfortable. The bathroom was on the back porch, which surprised me at first, but it was very clean and had full amenities. He also assured us that it has a heater for cold weather, but I didn't end up needing to use it. Mac's location is close to a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, the street car line and more. It's great to stay here and see a different part of New Orleans than the French Quarter.

  • Great little cottage! It’s perfect for a couple or a solo traveler. It was a nice private retreat. The location is great, quiet but close to everything we wanted to do... My one complaint was that the air conditioning could not keep up with the heat. During the day the rooms were 80+ degrees and only cooled off well into the night. We got very hot sleeping and it would have been nice to come back to a nice cool room after a hot day.

    Rachel2019-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Macs place. The area is absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. There are lots of cafes and bars within easy walking distance. The street car is also in easy walking distance and is a fun way to get into town. The house was clean and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The shower pressure was great and the water piping hot. I would highly recommend Macs place if you are looking for somewhere to stay in New Orleans.

Less than a half mile to beautiful city park, two & a half mile to historical French Quarter. Grocery store, Chinese restaurant, and other shopping options a few blocks away.
Quaint place, I try to keep it tidy as possible A shopping center down the street, easy 5-minute walk & a bus stop around the corner.
Built cira 1983, this quaint neighborhood is full of flavor, character, friendly neighbors, & easy access to many conveniences. Being right in-between the river, lake & near city park this location offers a great opportunity to explore an array of options of hidden jems often over looked by many who limit their selves to the usual tourist hots spots of the French Quarter, Bywater, or uptown area. Regarding safety, crime maps & statistics have shown this is area to has significantly less crime than the French Quarter ,Bywater, & Uptown areas. All except for a few occasional neighborhood holiday parties, this is one of the quietest neighborhood & I have never had any problems otherwise.

    Alejo2018-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan's place was super clean and cute. We enjoyed having a desk to spread our stuff out on. Jonathon was also very kind to help us store our cooler of food inside out of the heat. The shower is shared, but the rest of the bathroom is private. Everyday, we ubered or lyfted to the French quarter or the street car line, ranging from $6 to $15 depending on the time of day.

    Adam2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan is a great host, he pointed out places I should check out the day I got there, the location is great, approximately 10-15 drives into French Quarter and the bus is about 5 mins walk out. The room is so clean you could probably eat off the floor and you get your own private sink and toilet. Could use a bit more lightning on the first floor but it wasn’t at all a problem during my stay.

    Alexander2018-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome ft ine, Jonathan was a great host. Easy to get in touch with. Place was clean, quiet, and comfy!

Half double conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood in the Gentilly area. Only 3 miles from the French Quarter, Superdome, and downtown New Orleans.
Newly built home (June 2016) with two private bedrooms and two private bathrooms. Outdoor deck and grill in back. With private driveway for off-street parking.
The neighborhood is very quiet and conveniently located only 2 miles from Bourbon Street, 3 miles from the Superdome, and centrally located to pretty much any other area of the city.
  • My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. The home is newer/updated and just as described. It's close enough to easily get to and from any sight you'd like to visit, but far enough where you're not bombarded with the craziness of Canal/Bourbon/Frenchmen streets. Donnell, as a host, was great. He was very accommodating and attentive to our needs, allowing a portion of our group to check in a little earlier. He also suggested a few things to do while in town. Though we only ever got a chance to speak in passing, he definitely made us feel at home with his courteous gestures and warm smile.

  • Very clean house. Host is super nice and is easy to contact. If you are wanting to go to Bourbon it is about a 7 minute or so drive, which is not bad at all. House slept 4 people easily. 5 stars, I would book here again.

  • Got lucky and snagged Donnell's place at last minute. Perfect location for exploring NOLA. Definitely will return.

  • A great place to stay. Very nice amenities. Clean place, extra soft towels. We felt right at home

    Susan2019-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb, and now, my only Airbnb in NOLA. This location is about 10min away from the French quarter. Easy access to the unit/parking, as you only need a code to enter. There is a TV in the living room and bedroom, equipped with a fire stick, which was very easy to use. The accommodations were much larger than I expected (larger than any hotel), and tastefully decorated and very clean (just as shown in pics). I only had a few requests and Donnell responded very quickly and curiously. Also, not too far from one of NOLA's historic eateries: Dooky Chase. This truly is a Home Away from Home. Again, thank you for your hospitality sir. Biggest bang for my buck this year.

  • I was in town with family for a wedding and our stay was amazing! The decor was lovely and we had everything that we needed and more. Trevail even left us a welcome card and gift. Very classy accommodations. My aunt even suggested we visit again and stay at Trevail's AirBnb. We had a great time and I'd recommend this stay to anyone looking for class and comfort.

  • Travail was very nice and most helpful. Always answered my questions promptly

    Joanne2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, very homey. Ran into a minor issue with the WiFi but Trevail was very courtesy and gave us a refund for the troubles. No complaints, loved being close enough to French quarter but not close enough to have to deal with the hustle and bustle (and dangers) of downtown. Neighborhood was very quiet too.

  • The good-location wasnt far from bourbon st really spacious to fit everyone and be comfortable, host was very responsive and added her own small touches which made us feel right at home . The only thing i didn’t like is that the cleanliness of the home could have been a little better. The floors had dust all over them in the corners but again it could be because the type of flooring they have collects dust faster.

The neighborhood of Tremé is known for its original and creole-centered architecture and being the birth place of some of New Orleans-centric musical and visual art. Art and architecture aside, Tremé is the oldest subdivision in New Orleans at 204 years old. The neighborhood is also home to some iconic landmarks, including one of the oldest churches in the nation, the St. Augustine Catholic Church, and areas including Louis Armstrong Park and Congo Square.

  • Good central location from Jazz Fest Fairgrounds and French Quarter. Both walking distance. The house was clean well-stocked with more than enough towels glassware and kitchen equipment. Cool little outside patio. Ben the landlord was accessible and recommended some good clubs bars and restaurants. The house slept up to 7 people butt would be ideal for two couples. Good Value Rental for the price. Had a blast.

Private, perfectly appointed 1BR cottage one block from the Marigny and three from the French Quarter. Amazing hardwood floors, great kitchen, breezeway deck, and walking distance to Frenchmen, Bourbon, and all the greatest points in New Orleans! This property is one block off of the new streetcar line that will carry you to Downtown, the French Quarter, or many destinations uptown including the Garden District and Audubon Park and Zoo.
This 100+-year-old cottage was exhaustively renovated in 2014 and is an amazingly restored example of classic New Orleans architecture. Warm and inviting with pleasant sitting spaces, a nice fully-appointed kitchen, and a very comfortable hand-carved bed that will allow you a great night's rest after your adventures!
This is an amazing location! One block outside of the historic and impressively renewed Faubourg Marigny, two blocks from the historic Tremé, and less than three from the legendary French Quarter. The neighborhood is extremely walkable, with dozens of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, bakeries, boutiques, and shops within a ten minute walk. Our side of St. Claude is going through a swift transformation as homes are being rapidly restored and new businesses opening in anticipation of the new street car line that runs down Rampart and St. Claude from downtown. It may help to be aware that the neighborhood behind the house is improving from some years where it was fairly neglected. Like any central city, do be alert if walking alone at night, and take transportation if you feel at all less than secure. Some local favorites of mine close to the house are: Who Dat Cafe in the Marigny for coffee and breakfast; Bar Tonique a few blocks down Rampart for excellent interesting and inexpensive cocktails; Meauxbar also on Rampart for an amazing mid-priced French-Creole menu; Sidney's Saloon visible from the front of the house across St. Bernard for simple drinks and neighborhood locals; and Kajun's Pub a little down St. Claude for anytime drinks, a lively crowd, and every night karaoke.
  • Great location for walking and trolley ride! Clean house, great amenities included ( coffee, fridge, wonderful AC unit!) would definitely recommend this home to other travelers. Who are looking to travel to NOLA and stay outside of the French quarters but with in walking distance or trolley ride.

  • The pictures do not lie. Paul has created an oasis of charm… thoughtfully renovated and tastefully decorated … a sweet lil’ dream house. It’s a stone’s throw from the French Quarter, in a funky transitional corner of town, an urban revival area populated by a Portland-like counter-culture types – a relaxed mix of blue & no collar locals, artists, grassroots entrepreneurs, and other non-conformists. Paul’s place – an updated shotgun house of yesteryear with Caribbean feel -- fits in right in. In fact, since Paul’s a bit of a perfectionist, it’s in a little better shape than many of the surrounding buildings. The place is spotless – not just the floors and windows, but on top, behind, and below things. It is creatively outfitted with every little thing one might need – and more. Besides his obvious attention to detail, Paul’s also professional and e-communicative – and close, since he lives next door. Where his competence as a host really shines, however, is in how he’s managed to make the space exude history, character, simplicity, and lightness of being while also being deftly enhanced by the innovation, technology, and efficiency a modern person looks for. Perfection! In a city so changed by the forces of nature, by a tidal wave of cultural neophytes with profit motives, and by the loss of many of the traditional inhabitants that made it so unique, there is much cause to fret for its “couleur locale”. Since my family has deep roots in New Orleans I worry about the future of its way of life. But after staying “chez Paul” I have hope that “savoir vivre” may actually live on here and not be completely squeezed out by one-size-fits-all corporatism, corruption, and commercialism. To stay here, I canceled a reservation in a swanky French Quarter hotel: not for a thousand hot beignets would I have missed this brilliant little gem! PS: I hear the area will soon to be connected to other NOLA desirables by street car. Also, if you’re there on a Monday night, don’t miss the pan-Asian street food & live music around Sidney’s Saloon (less than ½ block west).

  • This place is exactly as described. I loved staying at a New Orleans shotgun style house. One of my favorite things in the house was the hardwoods floors that looked original, and the lights made out of instruments. We were out most of the day exploring but the house was the perfect place to come back too. It was wonderful having a full fridge to store leftovers and an oven to heat up leftovers. There is also a grocery store close by which was really great for a light meal or snacks. The tv was also much appreciated. There was one night when we were so tired we stayed in and watched a movie. Additionally, we really enjoyed the walk to the French Quarter and beyond. A lot of our trip was eating so the walk balanced out our eating goals. I would say it took about 15 minutes to walk to the French Quarter. Overall, it is a great place, the check in and out was seamless, and we had a wonderful time.

    Angel2015-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Paul's place was exactly as described....would make quite the honeymoon suite. The home was spotless and the air conditioner worked wonders. The location is on the edge of the Marigny with an easy 15 minute walk to nightlife through a very pleasant neighborhood. On street parking was a breeze and we felt very secure while there. We would stay at Paul's again.

    Michael2015-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place - well appointed, washer dryer, provided soaps/shampoo/etc. GREAT working AC - the neighborhood might seem a bit offputting when you first pull up, but it's not far from the quarter and there's a new trolly you can take to get places. There's a Walgreens walking distance for any food/drinks/etc you need.

    Colette2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay here in December: this is a really cosy space and is easy walking distance to the centre of town. The apartment had lots of really nice touches and our stay was really comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

    Katherine2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! The location was awesome, especially because of the nearby streetcar stops. Loved Paul's two hounds - they didn't bark at all during our stay. Bed was super comfy and we appreciated the coffee and filtered wawa. Would definitely recommend this place to friends!

Build in 1891 with lots of old charm! My home was just remodeled 8/30/18! New floors, new furniture, new vanity and all new decor! Super fresh and clean!
The neighborhood is family friendly and safe! Beautiful old trees line the street and there's a front porch that you can relax on!

  • About a close walk to the streetcar and a small commute from there into the French Quarter. Melissa was very quick to be in contact with us for anything. Off-street parking was a plus, just watch the bump as your pulling in! The house is quaint and perfect for 1-2 people. No frills, but a good place to rest your head.

    Lindsay2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to visit.

    Patricia2019-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa was very helpful and accommodating. She even brought over a pan and kettle when we mentioned that we wanted to cook. The location was great and it was very easy to get around, despite the construction on nearly every major road in the city.

    Dawn2016-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa was very accomodating to some last minute date changes for our travels and very quick to respond! The place is as described- efficient! No whistles and bells but a comfy bed and decent location close to the trolley. If you are not used to window unit AC s the one in the kitchen is very loud and did wake us up a few times, and we would have like a dresser or a few more hangers to keep the space tidy but overall a good experience!

    Olivia2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • great place to stay when in NOLA within walking distance to the street cars and buses that will take you anywhere you need to go around the city. she was very responsive and answered all my questions within minutes.

  • Great location! Melissa provided us with extra toiletries and some fun suggestions on where to go! It was clean and safe and I will definitely come back again!

    Chelsey2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Don't be turned off by the neighborhood- it is old but very safe. It is a short walk to the streetcar ( only $1.25 or $3 a day unlimited) and a $6-7 Lyft ride to the action. It was cool to live like a local. Much better than staying at a hotel. We ate outside on the porch, and people walking by said hi to us. It was insanely hot, but the window unit ACs were kicking! Very good location. 5 minutes from Parkway Bakery ( some of the best po'boys in NOLA!) Good deal if you need a place to crash and shower. Oh- the bed was super comfortable!!!

Our place is private and affordable. We are centrally located just minutes to 5-15 min drive to anywhere in the city. We are exactly 4.8 miles from Bourbon Street/FQ. Our space is a quaint 400 sq ft private guest suite. The extra high ceilings make the space feel more spacious. There is one queen size bed and sofa converts to a full bed also. We have a hand made counter area that adds character to the room and guest also have access to the deck/porch.
Our space was recently renovated. Our guests have access to a full bath with a shower. The sofa converts to a full bed. A mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot are available for our guests to use. There is a fenced back yard.
New Orleans is a small city, so most areas in New Orleans proper (Orleans parish) are only a 10 minute drive from downtown/French Quarters. Our neighborhood is a quiet and safe area that's literally a "stone throw" from all of the action. It is a great escape from the busy nightlife of downtown/French Quarter but it is only a 5-10 minute drive to the city's happening spots. For those with children, there's a nice neighborhood park down the street. City park and the walking trail along our beloved Bayou St. John that leads to the Fairgrounds are also walking distance...great for a morning run. We have some amazing locally owned eateries nearby that maintain the traditions of New Orleans cooking.
  • Nice and cozy place, close to everything (10 minutes drive), Adrienne very accomodative, helped us with change of our travel plans. 100% satisfaction.

    George2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable, private, close to all tourist destinations in New Orleans. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay after a day out in the bayou or the French Quarter.

    Jacob2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Although we did not get a chance to meet Adrienne, she was in constant contact ensuring our needs were met. The home was clean and spacious, as advertised. although there is no cable Netfli was provided which was no big deal because I was not in New Orleans to watch TV. I was there to view the city and it was amazing! The home is less than a ten minute drive to the French qauter. This was our first time using Airbnb and it couldn't have gone any better.

    Nehemias2017-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Loved loved loved this place! Very clean, E-Z Check In, great communication from The Host, and close to the Airport. Just a quick Uber or Lyft ride to the French Quarter as well. I will definitely recommend this to friends and family.

  • Adrienne’s place is great to stay at. The house is cozy, comfortable, and minutes to the French Quarter. The description provided is exactly what you’re paying for. She is also quick to respond to messages.

  • Great affordable space in Nola highly recommended.

    Gus2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Adrienne’s space was exactly as I expected to be looks just like the pictures and when you walk in you really get the feel of how cute this place is. It’s in a part of New Orleans that was effected severely by hurricane Katrina we actually went to a “house museum” that was 4 minutes away just in cas anyone was interested but the neighborhood is beautiful it’s rebuilt and it’s convenient to a lot of shopping center as well as the French quarter which is a good 15 minutes drive if that depending on where you want to park and start walking because you will need to walk lol but the space was super clean I would suggest bringing an extra blanket for the pull out couch I had one already that I travel with and it’s not that it gets cold it’s that there are no sheets on the pull out couch but I’m sure a quick msg to the host will solve that they responded very quickly there is a coffee maker the bathroom is so cute and organized and the privacy is great too ... I would definitely stay here again if you’re looking for something affordable and convenient this is the place no lie and it’s just close enough to everything for a great price !

One of a kind house overlooking Bourbon Street and Orleans Avenue, across from the Bourbon Orleans Hotel and Tropical Isle. This overlooks Bourbon Street in the exact center intersection of the French Quarter. We are one of the few short-term rentals legally licensed by the City of New Orleans to operate in the French Quarter.
This is an upstairs unit with a corner Bourbon Street balcony in the middle of one of the most iconic locations in the city.
This is a unique place and you will be living in the very center of the French Quarter. I love our neighborhood because of its uniqueness, diversity, and liveliness. It is so rich with history and recognizable around the world as " New Orleans". Whether it's 3 o'clock in afternoon or 3 o'clock in the morning, there is always something going on in the French Quarter.

  • Beyond amazing! This rental is an incredible gift to yourself—don’t miss it!

    Carolyn2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location! Right in the middle of the action. The balcony was our absolute favorite place to be. Host has great communication and check in/out was a breeze. A++++ unit!

    Katy2019-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place seemed bigger than what it looked in the photo's. We loved it's location on Bourbon and we felt like VIP's sitting out on the balcony. Andre is very attentive and responds right away if you have questions or concerns. They do offer a parking pass if you need it so be sure to ask about it. It is noisy, but we knew that going in and he supplies ear plugs if need be. Falling asleep to the music and the crowd below was not an issue, but the morning clean up starts rather early with trash trucks and street cleaners coming through (still not an issue for us).

    Brandi2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Andres's place is amazing. The balcony overlooks Bourbon Street and it is a great location to get to Jackson Square or Canal Street within minutes of walking! We loved the place; SO clean and tidy. Absolutely loved the place so much that we booked another trip there before we even left!!

    Angela2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Andres place is right on Bourbon in a lively location! We had a great time and loved being in the middle of it all. Apartment was clean and the beds were super comfy! Thanks to Andres!

  • Great spot! Convenient location to all things Bourbon, but super safe. We had a bunch of girls down in New Orleans for a trip and thought we'd try Bourbon Street for one night. We were able to walk to bars and restaurants, and it was a great central location if we split up and wanted to all meet back at the apartment after some adventuring. Andres's place was clean, and super spacious! Bigger feeling than the pictures make it seem. And the balcony is such a plus!! So fun to stand out there and watch the street with a drink. Bathroom was spotless, and plenty of fresh clean towels were available for us to use. Beds are incredibly comfy to come back to after a night on the town. Also - it wasn't terribly loud at night if you were a light sleeper. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay on bourbon!!!

Tiny efficient 3 bedroom mother-in-law cottage with pictures of mountains everywhere. :) People love our comfortable beds and couches, TV, and kitchen. No house is perfect but we want to be the perfect fit for you. Please read our reviews carefully. Please know that our place is mini size! The Treme can be a rough neighborhood sometimes. Our house can get hot. (UPDATE: not anymore, we fixed it :-D )
Free street parking. Hanging plants leading up to your door. 2 real bedrooms with independent entrances. We want you to feel cold as a mountain top. We just installed a brand new AC system to keep you comfortable the whole time. You will have a TV with an HD antenna and a full kitchen. :)
The Treme is a wonderful historic district of New Orleans. Please read all about it and enjoy our city. Please be aware that New Orleans is not a safe city and the Treme is no exception. It's best to travel in groups, in daytime, and along populated areas. It's bad to travel alone at night on empty dark streets.
  • It's a really nice place. Good location with public transport nearby. Also good prices for Uber. It was clean and organized! Would stay there again for sure :)

  • Overall great stay, the neighborhood is scary at night but the house is gated and we felt safe inside it. The shower had 0 water pressure and was a hassle to get properly clean. We were always struggling to find convenient electrical outlets. Applicance were modern and A/C worked great. The place is made to feel homey

    Brett2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • The space was perfect for us and the hosts were lovely. Thanks Dacia!!

    Anne2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with great amenities! Short walk to great restaurants such as Willie Mae's and Dooky Chase

    Wen Hoong2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The home is very sweet ,clean , Comfy and fast communications. But If there got huge rain, could be getting water floor inside. When I was there, there was a lot of rain, and the rain came into the house. I was worried.... Fortunately, when the rain stopped, the water drained quickly. ¡Consider! Should put some sand bags front of the door.

    Hyunhwa2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Booked super last minute but the host was able to accommodate us without any problems.

    Denis2019-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay, all the water pressure was fixed and showering was great and no problem with bugs!

    Tim2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed 9 nights here. Location was great for getting around town, an easy walk to the French Quarter and reasonable uber to the Garden District and other areas of interest. Dacia was quick to respond to any concerns. The place felt nice and secure. Thanks for a great stay.

  • Such a great place! Felt light and airy and spacious considering it’s shotgun style. Yeah, the bed squeaks and there’s a neighborhood rooster, but that’s the charm of it! Wish we could have stayed longer.

    Angie2018-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Cute space and located within a cheap Uber ride to French Quarter. Bed could use an upgrade but most of the other necessities were more than adequate

    Rick2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • The house is on a residential street within walking distance to several other neighborhoods--a good starting point during the day, and we took a cheap uber ride back at night. We didn't see Jo during our stay, but everything was ready for us when we checked in.

    Alison2017-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Their place was fine! Located close to central Nola, it was easy to walk in the morning, and safer to take a Lyft at night. The bed was very squeaky, the walls are very thin, but the house is roomy and looks nice. The water pressure from the shower was good although the shower head cannot be adjusted. We really liked the diffuse light in the bedroom and the couch was super comfy for reading/relaxing.

    Andrew2017-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Treme' is a fascinating vibrant neighborhood and Jo + Tyler's place is in the heart of it all! We appreciated the lovely bedding, spacious clean digs, friendly neighbors, and overall stay in this lovely and affordable abode.

    Tammy2017-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • It is a bright beautiful high ceilinged typical New Orleans style row house in a Neighborhood with friendly hard working people. Street parking is available. The house has big rooms, high ceilings, ceiling fans in every room. Modern heat and air unit has been installed along with beautiful rustic wood flooring throughout. A full size kitchen and bathroom. That is maintained and cleaned. A couple of blocks from I- 10. And easy to navigate anywhere in the city yourself or by Uber Great Wi-Fi but no tv

    Keith2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Decent house with good nice decor, but the area is quite dangerous. I canceled before staying the night as whole only being there for an hour or so there was a fight breaking out a few yards up.

  • Michael es muy atento y está disponible al instante por mensaje. La casa estaba un poco lejos del centro, pero el uber no era caro. La zona parece segura.

    María2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was extremely professional and courteous. His home was clean and welcoming. Would definitely do it again.

    Scott2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • The neighbourhood is very calm and quiet but we found that the drive in and from the city every day to be a bit unpractical. Elsewhise, Michael is a very reactive host ready to give advice and make your stay as pleasant as possible.

    Stefania2018-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was a great host! He answered all of our questions very quickly. Hurricane Nate was headed our way and his knowledge of the area and situation put our minds at ease. Check-in was exactly as described.

    Adam2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place was better than we expected. Really enjoyed the attention to detail that he provided. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

    Digna2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was very polite and responsive. His place was comfortable, clean and minutes away from everywhere we wanted to visit. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Michael is a great host. Very flexible and prompt. While I did have minor wi-fi issues, Michael was more than helpful in checking the system. The space is tidy and clean. Perfect for a couple or single person and it’s in a central, quiet location.

This magical room is located in my home in the Marigny area of New Orleans, a 5 minute walk to Frenchmen Street, and a 15 minute walk from the French Quarter. It's a very special and beautiful "nest" with it's own private entrance. There are quite a few special amenities to make you feel at home, and you have your private small porch and use of the adjacent dining room as well. Please read all sections of listing prior to booking.
This is a very small room located in the back of my home, which also has a large guest suite up front that is rented here on Airbnb. There is one bathroom for the home that is shared with whomever is staying up front (usually just two people), and myself. However, I will note that bathroom sharing has never seemed to be an issue here! I am very invisible. Also I clean/sanitize bathroom daily. There are tons of towels and also toiletries for your use. I am sorry but there is no kitchen access with this room rental. However - there is a 5-gallon spring water dispenser and also ice available in the adjacent dining room, so drink up. In your room you have a tiny fridge, a coffeemaker and electric kettle, and a selection of coffee/tea/sugar/creamer/salt and pepper, etc. as well as a few dishes and utensils. This room is tiny but cozy: It has a daybed that is a twin bed with cotton sheets, blankets, a comforter and pillows. There is a wide stool you can pull over to use as a bedside table, and one chair. There is a small TV with cable, and great and reliable WiFi. The door to the rest of the house - which has a lock -opens onto the dining room, which you have use of ( had a table that is great for a workspace also), and the bathroom is just steps away. Storage is available in the empty cupboards underneath the built-in bookshelves, and there are a couple hooks and hangers on the wall. But best of all - this little room has it's own outside entrance and small porch, so you can come and go as you please without disturbing anyone else or having to deal with them yourself! There is a brand new window unit AC in the room, and a small space heater so you control the temperature you want. This room might be small, but it's one of my favorite spaces in my home...a cozy, private retreat from the rest of the world.
The Marigny is a diverse and artistic neighborhood which adjoins the French Quarter.
  • 10/10 would stay again. Merry has got to be one of the nicest people ive ever met. Her home is very tidy and incredibly inviting. It’s centrally located and only a stones throw from some really great restaurants.

    Sebastian2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Merry's home is beautiful, comfortable, and in a wonderful location secluded in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the activity of the French Quarter, Louis Armstrong Park, and other vibrant areas of New Orleans. Merry is a wonderful host, who welcomed me into her home like family, not just a traveler in need of lodging.

    Bill2017-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! It’s a small room, perfect for a solo traveler. Comfortable bed. Private entrance. The house is amazing and Merry was friendly. Minutes from all the music on Frenchmen St.

    Nathan2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot for a solo traveler. The house is cozy and the location is perfect. Merry was a great host — she provided lots of info on check-in and then she hung back and let me do my thing.

    Jill2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t let this place pass you by! It’s so quaint and adds to the whole New Orleans experience. It’s right outside of the French quarters, which is perfect. Great hostess, great price, comfortable night stay.

    Brandon2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great for one person and walking distance to the French quarter

    Leon2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very cool house in what I think is one of the coolest neighborhoods i the country. There was very little noise from the street, so, if the people in the other Airbnb room are quiet, it should be quiet during your stay.

    Brian2018-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Merry's place was even nicer than pictured. Very cozy and beautiful space. Great location - walking distance to many cool spots. Merry was also a super friendly host who made my whole stay from first contact to checkout super breezy. Highly recommended and would stay again.

Our biggest bedroom features a beautiful antique cypress Queen size bed and lots of plush pillows for cuddling. A book lover's dream, with a 60" TV, mini fridge, large private marble bathroom and private balcony.
Located in the heart of the Garden District, the Parks-Bowman Mansion is a classic example of the good life in New Orleans. Shaded by palm trees and a live oak, the deep porches on all three levels tempt you to rest and relax. The soaring center hall leads visitors to a carved cypress staircase ascending to the very top of the house, lit by stained-glass windows and massive chandeliers. There’s a music room, a formal dining room, a “ladies parlor,” and a fully appointed kitchen where you can enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee in the morning. Outside, a lovely garden surrounds a back porch for lounging and a full size lap-pool. There are three rooms available. This listing is for the Library. Please look for our other listings: the Red Room and the Haunted Bedroom. The Library features a Queen size antique cypress bed and a private shower with travertine marble and hand-held spray. The second floor porch with seating is right outside. The Library has its own wide-screen TV and all rooms have internet access and mini fridges. The Library is close to the Red Room and makes a great double-booking. Our dog, Boggs, (RIP Moxie and Loebie) looks forward to greeting you at the front gate, and while you may not see our two cats (they mostly stay in our portion of the house) sometimes they sneak out for a visit. Our house is furnished with our extensive art collection, which we’ve acquired in over thirty-five years of travel. Oh, and a little bit about us: Adrienne Parks-Bowman is a novelist and screen-writer, and Bill Bowman is a documentary film-maker, music producer, and web designer. We can’t wait to share our house with you, and introduce you to the city we know and love so well. We’re right near Lafayette Cemetery, Commander’s Palace, the St. Charles Avenue streetcar line, and the shopping and dining pleasures of Magazine Street. There’s plenty of secure parking on our quiet street, and if you come for Mardi Gras, you’ll be just steps away from the parades! Come visit us and make us your home-away-from-home in New Orleans!
The Garden District feels like a small town, located in the very middle of New Orleans. You're close to the French Quarter, the Museum District, and the Bywater, as well as Audubon Park, the Zoo, City Park, and highways, if you want to take a jaunt to the countryside for plantation or swamp tours. The Garden District itself is justly famous for its stately mansions, lush landscaping, and Lafayette Cemetery (open for tours), and Magazine Street and its restaurants and shops is only two blocks away!
  • What a fun trip! The house is full of interesting pieces of New Orleans culture and history, and I noticed something new every day. Our hosts were lovely and welcoming and helpful, and their two extremely well-behaved dogs were true delights. I especially loved that our hosts included a copy of the house's history in our room!

    Chelsea2019-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Adrienne was a very welcoming and accommodating host! Her two dogs will meet you at the door, and it is within walking distance to multiple shops and great restaurants such as Commander's Palace. The mansion is beautiful and surrounded by gorgeous homes to walk and take pictures of! Thank you Adrienne!

    George2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying in the library room! It was such a great experience to be inside one of the old mansions, and Adrienne provided us with detailed historical information about the house. Overall, the location is great for the garden district (lots of shops nearby), and the room was great. We especially enjoyed drinking coffee out on the balcony in the mornings. Adrienne was super hospitable and welcoming, one of the best Airbnb hosts I've encountered yet!

    Lauren2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful quintessentialy uptown NOLA home with interesting, eclectic art and the best of New Orleans architecture. Adrienne was charming and we enjoyed every minute of our stay there. I wish there had been more time to enjoy the space, visit with the hosts and read more of the great books in the library.

    Linda2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Adrienne was FANTASTIC! She greeted me warmly, showed me around and I fell in love with the home, and the pups! Her home is eclectic, warm, inviting and comfortable. She really needs to update the photo, because the bed that has replaced the couch is beautiful and comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the Garden District, and the rest of the city with the trolleys just around the corner. One night I came home late and she was up and we were able to visit. Her love for NOLA is obvious and her history and wit is delightful. Highly recommend!

    Chris2016-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a sleek and modern place to stay or a cookie cutter hotel, don't pick Adrienne's place. This location is much better! From pulling up to the mansion and seeing the surrounding foliage and outside decor, you know you are in store for an experience and not just a vacation. First, you are greeted by the coolest dog, Boggs, in NOLA. He was loving and seeing him sleep in the house at night rather than barking at you when you came in showed he is used to people and will not bother you during your stay. Coming to the front door you start to realize this home is going to be interesting. Opening the door provides the proof. Adrienne and her husband (he was, unfortunately, unable to be there for our trip) have collected a million things over the years and their home is a shrine to the passions they both have in life. I won't ruin the surprises but we thought it was a fantastic collection and I will say it added to our stay. If you like old houses with history and a possible ghost, pick this one. She has a booklet describing the home's history. I recommend reading it. We stayed in the Library Room and besides having an impressive book collection, the outer balcony was an added bonus. It was so cozy we even fell asleep sitting out there one night. We had access to her pool and it was clean and added to our trip especially with the 95 to 100-degree heat we had. Upon checking in, Adrienne was busy with her husband at the hospital but made a special arrangement to meet us so we could leave our bags early and get on with our vacation. That was a great gesture. She has wonderful stories and great travel tips for the area. The Garden District is fantastic. Take the time to walk around the streets. Literally one block to the Commander's Palace and Lafayette Cemetery. You can walk to the street cars and pretty much get around anywhere for a 7 to 12 dollar Lyft. Magazine Street is also less than 4 to 5 blocks away. It was nice to not be in the craziness of the Quarter and to be able to feel safe and have some solitude. I could go on about our trip but I'll let you decide for yourselves. Even when we had an issue during our stay Adrienne was hospitable and showed concern for our needs. Gave me reassurance she was legit. We loved the house, the story behind it, the location, the collections throughout the house, the pool, etc. But most of all we loved Adrienne. Go see her, go see NOLA and you will be happy you stayed with her. Thanks for everything Adrienne, when we come back to NOLA we will be looking here first. Tim and Stephanie.

    Tim2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in the heart of the Garden District, in a historic New Orleans mansion. Adrienne and Bill are wonderful and friendly hosts with a rich knowledge of the city and its history!

    Nick2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Adrienne was so friendly and was extremely welcoming, especially on a day's notice from me! Her home is absolutely fantastic, and she and her husband are a wealth of information on the Garden District! I would recommend the next time you want to stay in NO to go and stay with these folks!!! Absolutely A+!

  • Joe was an amazing host with a fast response time! Joe is willing to help with any need to make you stay comfortable. Joes space looks exactly like the pictures and the bees are comfortable. Joe enforces the house rules and if they are disobeyed joe accommodates guest for the inconvenience. I would definitely stay at joes place again.

  • Joe was an incredible host! He was so quick to answer all my question. He even helped us decide where to eat for dinner. He made checking in and checking out the most accommodating to us. The place itself was beautiful, modern, and clean. I will definitely keep Joe in mind next time I need a place to stay in New Orleans. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

    Kimberly2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good experience overall. It is equipped with all the basic amenities. The bedrooms comfortable. The description and reviews for the airbnb explain the pros and cons really well. The only issue we had is the noise from the floors/walls. This airbnb is essentially half a house. A big house has been converted into 2 airbnbs. The floors are too noisy and you can hear people talking and walking through the walls clearly. It gets quite annoying. Other than that there were no issues. The host is very flexible and confirmed the check out time before sending the cleaning crew.

    Radhika2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Super stylish and comfortable new orleans double. I would definitely stay here again. The house is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Cheap uber or lyft to the city. The area looks a little sketch but its totally fine. I was surprised by how comfortable and nice the back porch is. Loved this place

    Kyle2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The house was really beautiful and at a great location. I just think that if I’m paying a $60 cleaning fee I should not have to remove all the bed linens myself on top of taking out trash and laundry at 10am before checkout. I don’t mind taking out the trash and doing dishes as I’m sure it’s a sanitary issue, but I have never stayed at an air bnb and been charged a cleaning fee and been asked to clean up more than I would at a hotel. Kind of a large amount of money considering the guests do most of the work.

We love this neighborhood! It is right in the middle of city along the river, so a more low traffic spot, but with easy access to the more commercial and entertainment districts. It has its own lovely set of bars, coffee shops, and wonderful restaurants very close by though.
  • Lindsey's place is absolutely wonderful! The location is perfect for getting around the city and it's great having a coffee shop just across the street. She has done such a great job fixing the place up, it's absolutely beautiful ❤️ Tons of natural light floods the apartment. There are all the essentials you would need, no need to travel with a towel and toiletries. She was an incredibly accommodating host for us since our flights were at odd times. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to NOLA.

    Becca2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey’s space was absolutely gorgeous and she was super responsive to all of my texts. Check-in and check-out were super easy and her local tips were excellent. We will most likely stay here again.

    Andrew2018-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey's place was very charming and stylish. Lots of space and natural light. It's a little different from the photos – it's actually much nicer! The bathroom has been renovated (but there is no tub, FYI). The bed is super comfy. The location was great. It's near a highway, but the noise was a non-issue – we barely even noticed it. Would definitely come back!

  • If you are looking for a great jump off point in New Orleans, this is the place. The location is perfect to get around to anything you are looking for and also has a lovely coffee shop and bar nearby. Maura2019-05-12T00:00:00Z

  • The apartment was truly lovely and Lindsey was very helpful. I definitely recommend it!

    Christina2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Conveniently located, comfortable and full of character, Lindsey's home was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to stay. The mattress alone is worth 5 stars...

  • Gwen's house is like no where else I've stayed before, the main entrance room is amazing and as good in real life and the pictures! Gwen was very friendly and looked after us well. The room we stayed in was big and spacious, very clean and with basic amenities. Treme is a nice area, there's a lovely coffeehouse just up the street; 'treme coffeehouse', and getting to any other part of the city is fairly simple. We were told prior to arrival that the area was unsafe at night time but we felt fine. Everybody who we passed in the neighbouring streets was super friendly. I would recommend a stay at Gwen's, we had a great holiday and Gwen's home was a good base.

  • Gwendolyn is a beautiful and helpful person and has a lovely place. The room was bigger than i thought and the location was fantastic. Althogh the neigbhourhood doesnt look like much its full of very friendly people willing to stop to say hey of in my case give directions.

Great, 2 large room suite with king bed, jacuzzi bath tub and all the amenities you need. There's a mini fridge (for all your great local leftovers), microwave, coffee maker, tea pot, brita water and wifi. 19STR-10859
2 large private rooms (parlor and bedroom) and full bath in a great location, with cafe & coffee shops nearby. The bedroom has a king size bed, a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The space has your own private locked entrance and is just off my front porch, which is a great spot to have your morning coffee or tea. Easy street parking, too. Also, if traveling w pet need to approve with me and there is a $20 fee for pets (payable at check in).
The marigny is the greatest neighborhood and this space is all yours--its your own oasis in the front of my house w own entry. Easy and close (usually just in front of house) street parking. You can walk to the French quarter, frenchmen st., or just enjoy all the marigny has to offer. I have cable, wi-fi, central ac & am willing to consider pets. Note: I have 2 dogs & 2 cats that are very friendly, but they stay in my living space. This is a great place to stay for an authentic new Orleans experience in one of usa's best neighborhoods (look it up, it's true).
  • Great place for 2 people to stay! Super close to Frenchmen St. Easy access to UNO as well, it was a straight shot via Lyft. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

  • Kerrie’s place was awesome! Super easy walk to French Quarter, and even closer to Frenchmen street. Perfect place to stay and the bed is very comfortable. Can’t wait to go back!

    Meghan2017-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great house in a great neighborhood. Didn't see Kerrie much, but her suggestions for eats and sights were really helpful and tasty. Walkable and parkable.

    Adam2015-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • I am so happy to have found Kerrie's place. Its location was ideal as it was a short walk to music, restaurants, and bars on Frenchmen St. while also close enough to enjoy the Bywater. From the super comfy bed to the many guides on the coffee table, I couldn't have asked for more. I would definitely recommend staying here and would love to head back to NOLA again soon.

    Erica2015-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Kerrie was a great host and we loved the place. I can't imagine a much better location in the Marigny and having a couple of bikes at our disposal changed our whole trip. I would absolutely stay here when in NOLA again.

    Ryan2014-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location, facilities (with little extras like popcorn, oats, coffee), book of local recommendations, and a homely apartment with living area. We had one issue with the power short circuiting but Kerrie rectified the situation immediately. One of the best AirBnBs Ive stayed at.

    Adrienne2014-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kerrie's place is in such an amazing location! It's walking distance from all of the desired places and sites. It's a really comfortable place to stay as well. It's spacious, and a great value. Thank you for a great stay, Kerrie!

  • The location and charm of this home was amazing. We loved lounging on the porch after a long day exploring the city. There are so many wonderful places to explore in the neighborhood, I definitely felt at home.

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • Beautiful place, walkable to everything we wanted. We'll be back!

    Deb2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mark was great guy and very friendly - offered tips and recos on the neighborhood. He was around overseeing some projects but very respectful of privacy. Place was beautiful - New Orleans charm and modern amenities...and those doors! We will definitely be staying here next time we come back.

  • Great house on the old bayou rd, short walk to the French quarter, very comfortable and spacious

    Matt2018-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time staying at Mark's home! The location was amazing, the space was huge, and the AC was great (very important to me :)). I would definitely stay here again!

    Angela2018-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's place has a ton of charm, and we liked the location-- easily walkable to both the FQ and Frenchman Street. Both Mark and Truedell were very responsive to our inquiries, and Truedell arranged for us to store our luggage with her since we arrived early. The apartment itself is spacious, nicely decorated, and the kitchen is very modern and updated. We found the bed quite comfortable. However, as some others have said, it is a bit run down--- big tear in the sofa; missing knobs on kitchen drawers; no place at all to hang towels in the bathroom. We made do, but with a bit of attention it could be even better. The place is also right on a corner, which means it can be noisy at times. It also means keeping the curtains/blinds closed (unless you want bypassers peering in....) which can make the place a little dark. It's a good place to stay if you are looking for basic accommodations with a bit of New Orleans charm.

    Lynn2019-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very nice and well appointed and the host was available if needed but otherwise respected our privacy.

    Ernie2016-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Ce logement est parfait pour un couple. De plus, il est très bien situé. Merci, Mark!

    Sarah2016-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's accommodation is very stylish & well appointed. It s right next door to the French Quarter yet in a quiet neighbourhood. Would highly recommend if you want to be near the action.

My place is close to six block from French Quarter, three blocks from Louis Armstrong Park, lots of restaurants and live entertainment. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed and the coziness.

  • Lovey stay with Ms. Gwen. She must have made the updates that previous guests complained about, as I did not have any issues with cleanliness or the shower. The creaky bed didn’t bother me. The linens were bright white, fresh and I slept great. She’s been in this home for 75 years. If you want ritzy glitzy you just need to go down to Canal and pay for it. Hopefully anyone coming to Tremé is doing so intentionally, the neighborhood is truly one of a kind. My only complaint would be that it appears that smoking is allowed in the house, or at least I could smell it upstairs one morning. Other than that no other complaints. Clean linens, clean bathroom, great location. I would stay with Ms. Gwen again.

  • Ms. Gwen was so nice great host would absolutely recommended

    Eliana2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Gwens home is absolutely magical! We had the most wonderful time staying here. It was our first time in New Orleans and being able to experience it staying at Gwens made the trip all the more better. The energy when you first step into this house is beautiful. All the plant life and art work is stunning. Gwen is extremely helpful and a very approachable host and she makes you feel warm and welcome. Upon arrival she had a complimentary bottle of champagne for us aswell as fresh coffee and juice set up in the dining room every morning. The location of her property is perfect. Only a 15min walk to the centre of the French Quarter and also close by to other hidden gems like local coffee shops and restaurants. When I'm back in New Orleans I am 100% staying with Gwen again. This is the best Airbnb I've stayed at in all my travels. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting the true southern hospitality experience in New Orleans!

  • Great stylish home it was in walking distance to French Quarters I read reviews they said the bed was creaking which it was but it didn’t bother me because it was soft and comfortable. The place was clean and eccentric just how I Ike things. Man Gwendolyn was sweet and attentive!

    Tiffany2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Ms. Gwen was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Her beautiful home is a sight to be seen and a true Nola gem. She was gracious to let us drop off our bags prior to check in and gave us some great history about the house and the area. This was our first stay with Ms. Gwen but it definitely won't be our last.
