Join a storytelling tour at the Topography of Terror museum, where we will explore a unique family history at the former headquarters of the Gestapo and the SS and talk about the dark history of Nazi-era Berlin. • As we walk through the open-air portion of this historical landmark, we’ll discuss the exhibits detailing the rise of the Nazi regime and its use of terror to control society. • Next, we will enter the indoor part of the museum and contiue the story through a walk in the library. Along the way, I’ll talk about my family’s connection to these historical events through my great-grandfather, the mayor of Berlin until 1935. • We will then move on to a cafe to share our personal reflections on what we’ve seen, and talk about how history shapes our understanding of identity and memory today. Zu Beginn eine wichtige Information: Alle buchbaren Touren sind deutschsprachige Touren, für englischsprachige Touren bitte anfragen! Kommt mit mir, auf eine fotografische Reise durch die Geschichte der größten Hafenstadt Deutschlands. Wir starten unsere fotografische Entdeckungsreise am Domplatz der Geburtsstätte und Kinderstube Hamburgs. Danach setzen wir unseren Spaziergang durch das Kontohausviertel fort, und schauen der Primaballerina unter ihren hübschen Ballerinarock, laufen weiter bis zur Speicherstadt und tauchen ein in die Schluchten aus Backstein und erleben die Speicherstadt aus nächster Nähe. Nach ungefähr 2 Stunden können wir dann bei einem Getränk eurer Wahl, fotografische oder technische Fragen in gemütlicher Atmosphäre besprechen oder uns einfach nur besser kennenlernen Während unserer 4 stündigen Fototour lehrnt ihr: was es mit der "perfekten" Perspektive und Bildaufbau auf sich hat und bekommt die schönsten Blicke auf eure Motive und kreative Anleitung für noch schönere Fotos mit eurem Smartphone bzw. Eurer Digitalkamera. Natürlich passe ich je nach Teilnehmerzahl und Vorkenntnissen (max. 8 Teilnehmer:innen) den Fotospaziergang flexibel an euch an. Mein Ziel ist es, dass ihr einen schönen Tag in Hamburg verbringt, dass ihr es noch besser als vorher versteht wie gute Fotos entstehen und Hamburg nochmal von einer ganz neuen Seite kennenlernt.

English below / Diese geführte Radtour führt zu Berlins Top-Sehenswürdigkeiten, durch Wohngebiete ("Kieze") & Parkanlagen, oft entlang der Spree. Der Startort ist zwischen Velodrom und Volkspark Friedrichshain, gut erreichbar mit S-Bahn, Tram und Bus! Die Rundtour bietet abwechslungsreiche Einblicke in die Stadt(geschichte) und zeigt anhand "Früher-Heute-Bildern", wie schnell sich das Gesicht Berlins verändert. Beispielhaft seien die Berliner Mauer und das Stadtschloss genannt. Parallel wird deutlich, wie grün und Fahrrad freundlich Berlin im Zentrum ist. Einzelne Stopps werden durch die Fotostrecke bzw. das Video verdeutlicht. Die Gesamtstrecke beträgt ca. 19 km und ist durchgehend flach. Die Benutzung von Fahrrädern + Helmen ist im Preis enthalten (keine E-Bikes). Kinder- und Jugendfahrräder sowie Kinder- und Babysitze stehen gratis zur Verfügung. Our tour will walk past the great sites of the city, the ones everyone knows and loves, and then, take a few turns on less known streets. You'll find here hidden Roman archaeological remains, breathtaking historical monuments, and even some of the most popular local bakeries and beer halls. To the untrained eye Cologne is a busy, fun, modern city. But we will focus on small architectural details that hide fascinating stories of war, competition between cities, religion and customs. I will also make sure you do not leave the tour without seeing some of the coolest postmodern art installations, the kind of installations that some people only see in their university books, or on the news. During our time together I like to build a small community. After all, we have lots in common: new to the city, excited and eager to see, learn and have fun. I am looking forwards to swapping travel stories, and a joke or two. Other things to note Dress according to the weather please.

We can start at Marienplatz with the Townhall and the famous Glockenpiel and end up at Hofgarten an amazing 17th century Italian Renaissance passing by churches and amazing architecture. Other times we head towards the street of Stachus . We go with the flow and your mood. Every intimate moment and experience will be captured and blended into a dreamlike sequence. Berlín, ciudad de subculturas

We’ll meet up in the middle of Kreuzberg. I’ll explain why Berlin is such a fertile place for alternative projects and how its counter and sub-cultures have shaped the city. Then we’ll hop on our bikes and take to the cycle lanes, touring Berlin’s alternative sights - its collective projects and unconventional nightclubs, its parks, empty lots and street art. Our bikes don’t have big “Bike Rental” signs, so we can explore the city discreetly. Berlin is a cycle-paradise and we’ll ride slowly, so you don’t need to be super fit. We’ll see the home of the self-sufficient, off-grid Turkish-Berliner who lives in the middle of the city in a house he’s built himself, visit a hospital that became a squat that became an arts centre, then drop by a small farm run by a community of trailer-dwellers. Finally - our explorations over - we’ll return to the starting point, where I’ll give you some tips for the rest of your trip. If less then 2 people book this tour I will have to cancel and you'll be refunded. Other things to note I can offer my experience as a private tour. Berlín al atardecer: un tour y taller de fotografía

Everybody takes photos nowadays, especially while traveling. But there's a distinct difference between snapping a quick shot of a landmark and carefully crafting a photograph. The goal of this photowalk through the center of Berlin is to provide you with the basic photographic skill set to capture some of Berlin's most iconic landmarks in the best light. The blue hour is when a city is most photogenic. It's the time of day when natural and artificial light are equally bright and complement each other perfectly. Did you ever wonder how to capture those cool light-trails or how to get a shot of a famous landmark without any people in it? Well, I will happily share all of the tips and tricks I use myself to capture cityscapes during the blue hour. After providing an overview of the technical aspects of night and cityscape photography, we will dive right into it, apply what we've learned, and test it in the field. This way you will not only end up with some stunning shots for your social media, but also with the knowledge to make your next city trip a photographic success, too. Other things to note The only thing you'll need to bring is your own camera. In case you don't own a camera, please let me know in advance and I can lend you one. I can provide two tripods in case you don't have one or don't want to bring it. You should wear comfortable shoes since we will walk a bit ;).

Wir starten unseren Spaziergang durch die Geschichte Hamburgs am Hammaburg Platz, der Geburtsstätte und Kinderstube Hamburgs und erfahren, wie Hamburg zu seinem Namen kam. Danach setzen wir unsere Tour über Hamburgs Kontorhausviertel, dem ehemaligen Zentrum der Hamburger Kaufleute, und seinem Backstein-Kontoren fort. Wir schauen der Primaballerina der Kontorhäuser unter ihren hübschen Ballerinarock. Blicken kritisch auf die Gründungsurkunde unseres Hafens, und entdecken den ein oder anderen Wiederspruch. Wir laufen weiter bis in die Speicherstadt, tauchen ein in die roten Schluchten aus Backstein und ihre Geschichten, klären was Westphalen mit Hamburg zu tun hat und warum dort Arbeiter in einem Schloss gewohnt haben. Wir finden heraus, was Schutenschupser und Ewerführer eigentlich genau gemacht haben und warum es Kaffeebarone und Perser in Hamburg gibt. Am Ende habt Ihr die Möglichkeit in einer Kaffeerösterrei in einem alten Speicher die Tour ausklingen zu lassen.
