Just 157 steps from our door puts your toes in the Tybee sand (even less if you're tall!) The ideal beach outpost for couples & small families. Swim with dolphins, bike the island, or day trip to Savannah, and sleep by the sea!
Our casual, compact Americana-style home is a good fit for 2 adults and up to 2 children.
The bedroom has a queen sized bed built-in (like a grown-up bunk bed, it's awesome, you can pretend you are the Captain of a pirate ship... if you are into being awesome) and a full closet.
There are two bunk beds in the hall, each slightly smaller than twin sized, kids love them, but they are snug for some adults, FYI. (You may see similar listings at the Savannah Beach and Racquet Club which accommodate 6 people, we do not. Our sofa-bed is terrible, you deserve a better vacation than that.)
An open kitchen, living room and a small deck peek out across the dunes to the ocean to complete our little retreat.
Our location on the island is absolutely the best for travellers looking for a slow-paced vacation and nature lovers. If you doubt this, let us simply say the highest paid actress in Hollywood could live any place in the world she likes, and has chosen our little strip of beach to call home. We don't like to name-drop, but we think this is a pretty credible endorsement. We don't know what she's into (okay yes we do, but it's none of our business) but we are obsessed with how great of a place this is for kayaking and dolphin watching (and watching dolphins from kayaks). Ask us, we will talk all day!
Our home is totally kid friendly, but not unromantic. If you are traveling as a couple, you can keep the bunk beds tucked behind the curtain and pretend they aren't even there-- we promise they won't inspire uncomfortable talks about the pitter-patter of tiny feet. We even provide classy plastic* goblets, so you can drink wine on the beach *Swoon* (*Glass is strictly forbidden on the beach, the city imposes a $200 ticket if you're caught with it)
Disponible para huéspedes
Guests will have total access to our one-and-a-half bedroom, one bathroom condo with fully equipped kitchen. Our complex includes, direct, private beach access, two full sized swimming pools, and one shallow children's pool.
Three tennis courts, and charcoal grills are also available for guest use.
Our bathroom has a shower and bathtub, we include towels, linens and paper products for guests to use. We also have shampoo and soap on hand.
Our kitchen has a small oven with four-burner electric range, a microwave and a fridge with a freezer (but not an ice maker, so you might want to grab a bag on the way in). We have a coffee-maker, toaster, blender (because margaritas!), waffle iron, and a variety of pots, pans and dishes. There is not a dishwasher in the kitchen, in case that's a dealbreaker (we're just as sad about it as you are).
We have a dedicated wireless network in our home, as well as an open wifi network poolside. Our home has two HD televisions with cable, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. There is a BluRay/DVD player in the living room equipped with streaming Netflix and a basket of DVDs for your viewing pleasure. We also have great board games, if you're feeling nostalgic... or the power goes out.
A laundry room is located just across the hall from our unit. The machines take coins (to wash and dry a load of laundry costs $3 total). There is not an onsite change machine, so if you think you'll need to do laundry during your stay, you'll want to bring quarters.
Atención a los huéspedes
Our key box makes it possible for your arrival time to be quite flexible. If we don't meet when you check in, we are usually not far away, we love talking with our guests and can be reached at any time during your stay. We respect your privacy, so while someone is always close at hand if you need us, you probably won't see us much unless you ask to.
Otros aspectos destacables
If you are interested in combining a trip to Tybee with a trip to Savannah, please inquire about our Savannah guest house!
Our prices are inclusive of state and local taxes, what you pay when you book is all you are going to pay for your stay with us.
Make sure you've read our full listing before you book! By booking with us you agree you understand our bed types and House Rules.
Our home is not well suited for those with mobility imparements, our beds are quite high and while on the first floor, there are a few stairs to get to our entry from the parking lot. If you anticipate having an issue with anything contained in our listing, please ask questions before you make a reservation with us, we will do our best to help you or suggest alternative accommodations.
Parking: Each unit is only allotted ONE parking spot, if you have additional parking needs, you must let us know in advance so we can try and help you out. Parking is serious business on Tybee, (maybe a little too serious if you ask us) if we can help you with a second spot, we will. But we don't want you to try and go rouge and end up getting ticketed or towed, it happens!
Smoking: It is never okay to smoke in our home. We keep an ashtray on our back deck, please keep the door closed if you choose to smoke there.
Pets: We can not allow pets of any kind, this is a homeowners association rule and it applies to our entire property, please don't hold it against us! There are plenty of houses on Tybee that will gladly welcome your dog or cat, we'd be happy to recommend one if you're bringing your pet.
If you are booking on behalf of someone else (i.e. the individual whose Airbnb account the reservation is under is not going to be staying) do not use Instant Book. Reservations booked under someone else's account without our written permission will be canceled.

I am a freelance translator, residential designer, and mother to a kid who really loves dinosaurs (sometimes he travels with me, sometimes not, I always make sure my hosts know exactly who is coming). We split our time between the East and West coasts of the U.S. and have been all over the world together, we adore meeting people and sharing our home with travelers.
As guests, we don't require much, we are used to making ourselves comfortable in all kinds of places. We recently spent a night, along with a group of strangers (and many wild creatures), huddled in a parks service bathroom on an isolated island sheltering from a flash flood and lighting storm. By morning, we had some new friends and a thrilling story to share back at kindergarten.
We promise, as hosts, to try to make your stay infinitely more comfortable, but hopefully just as fun and memorable!
