The Shire House is grade II listed and dates from 1780. Situated in the heart of Lostwithiel and with the river Fowey just 30 steps away. This is a Georgian townhouse with a walled garden full of sun. Expect lots of character, with contemporary design, and with up to the minute amenities. The minimum stay is usually 3 nights but do contact me if you are only looking for 2 nights as this may be possible. And if you need more than one bedroom we can happily discuss a price for your requirement.

The fully refurbished house has a Georgian façade and interior built into a much older stone walled building that possibly dates back to the Sixteenth Century and the Tudor period. Within minutes of the house are a variety of restaurants, tea room and pubs. There is also the Elizabethan Museum and the National Aquatic Centre. Ferries are available to a number of destinations including Cawsand and also Cremyll in Cornwall.

A Beautiful house in the small historic town of Great Torrington, local shops, swimming pool, Museum and arts centre all on the doorstep. The town is nestled on a hill with 360 degree views of the countryside. A great base to explore North Devon’s beaches, rugged Moors and breath-taking countryside. The market town is in my opinion a gem, full of friendly people. The house is a wonderful place to gather with family and friends, don't take my word for it read all the 5 star reviews!
