Nestled between WV's highest peaks & within minutes of our country’s best fishing, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, biking, skiing, hunting, Civil War Sites, & historic trains, River House is a perfect base for all WV has to offer.

The cottage in the woods is the perfect place to relax and unwind, or use as a base to explore the more than 20 attractions just a day trip away! Come enjoy fishing, swimming, hiking to Mule Hole & take a train ride to High Falls. Drive over the hill to Glady you will find the walking & bike trails of the West Fork Rail Trail. Come disconnect and unwind while taking in the beautiful WV mountains and fresh air. Please note there is NO cell service in the area.

Stay in the masterfully crafted Lemuel Chenoweth homestead along the rippling Tygart river. Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more.
