Watch and pet our friendly animals from the cottage and experience some of the best star gazing in New Zealand from our beautiful hot tub. During your stay we offer a free animal tour of 1 hour, whereby you will visit some of our friendly animals incl bottle feeding our pet lambs (Aug-Dec), an Alpaca walk 🦙, and our friendly horses, cats, dogs and chickens 🥰

Twizel retreats - GH Cottage

This newly built cottage is located in a peaceful location. Guests will have sole occupancy of the cottage. It has a great mountain view and the dark night sky reserve here. It's only 45 mins drive to Mt Cook National Park, 10 mins drive to Lake Pukaki. It is air-conditioned and provides all the necessary amenities and essentials to make your stay comfortable. Two bedrooms with a very comfy King bed and two King Single beds. A nice bathroom is completed with a waterfall-style shower head.

This house is peaceful, comfortable, clean, family friendly and fully equipped, with plenty of extras. It includes free WiFi (fibre broadband). The location is excellent, a minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and pubs. Enjoy a BBQ in the beautiful peaceful fully fenced garden on a shaded deck. Or enjoy the warm indoors with the provided DVD's, games, books, playstation or toys. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom has a fantastic large shower. There is plenty of off street parking.

Set in Lake Pukaki in the Canterbury region, near Twizel, Pukaki Lakeside Getaway House has superb mountain and lake views. You have the whole house to yourselves, with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, large dining and living areas with satellite flat-screen TV, wi-fi, a balcony/patio for outdoor living and 4 bedrooms. Lake Pukaki is a short walk down the hill from the house. Lake Tekapo is 50km away and the town of Twizel is 10km miles away. Mt Cook is a 40 minute drive away.

Come and enjoy a stay on our beautiful lavender and olive farm, with breathtaking mountain views. The Barn has 1 queen-sized bed, 1 sofa bed and private bathroom. There is a microwave, fridge and bbq, tea, coffee, crockery etc You can picnic in the gardens or say hello to the dogs, cats, sheep, & alpacas! Breakfast cereals, bread, jams, coffee, teas etc are provided . You can also treat yourself from our range of natural lavender products in our on-site shop.

The Brown House

The Brown House was tragically lost in 2020 in New Zealand’s worst fire disaster that devastated the village Award winning architect Lisa Webb who designed the first Brown House was enlisted to design the rebuild. The results are just as stunning This four-bedroom retreat accommodates up to ten guests. Each bedroom offers breathtaking views. The house includes two living areas a dedicated office space, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen.
