Duffus House Lodge - rural retreat

The Lodge is a traditional gate lodge located at the entrance to Duffus Estate, on the edge of the small village of Duffus. Set in from the Elgin/Duffus B road, it is surrounded by Estate woodland and open fields which are home a host of wildlife, such as our cheeky red squirrels or shy roe deer. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs and you can explore the network of paths across the Estate and beyond. Duffus is only 2 miles from the magnificent Moray coast with its unspoilt sandy beaches.

Distilleries are all around the area in Speyside and Glen Moray distillery a 10 minute walk . I visit my guests to say a quick hello.

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!

By car, the stunning beaches and coastline of Moray can be easily reached, as can the hills and distilleries of Speyside.

This unique property has 2 bedrooms and provides modern luxury and comfortable living in an ancient setting. It has its own private patio but residents will also have access to the 5000 acre estate that the house sits on. The Gatehouse is the perfect setting for romantic getaways, holidays with friends and family and even elopements!

Braeside Cottage, is located in the middle of our Estate.. A comfortable cottage offering a cosy sitting room with fireplace, Austrian Style dining corner and a fully equipped kitchen.Hot tub is there for you to relax and for private use. The bathroom with toilet is located downstairs, shower and separate bath. There is a surcharge of GBP 8 p.d. per pet (max of 2 pet). Upstairs are two bedrooms. Laundry service is available upon request if you stay longer than 5 nights.

Meikle Kildrummie dates back to 1670. Added later, the adjacent 200 year old cottage has been beautifully renovated and sits in a peaceful location within a 2 acre garden surrounded by open countryside. It’s perfectly situated as a base for exploring the highlands of Scotland, the fabulous beaches and places of interest around the Moray Firth, as well as being on the doorstep of the acclaimed Malt Whisky Trail. The Highland Capital of Inverness is only 20 minutes away.
