There is access to horse tails near by and walking distance from the cozy gem of a town. The lake is directly in front of the cabin and has public access right down the road. This is the perfect budget friendly get away for a family or a great place to lodge for hunting and fishing. Great in the summer and the winter! Welcome to a backyard getaway that will drop your mouth in awe. Kinda like "GLAMPING" but better!Has heat and Air .Unique, corky but a great place to relax and put your feet up in the hammocks inside. Must be able to climb a 6 foot ladder to get to loft to sleep. Can come to the main house to go to the bathroom or use the best compost toilet ever attached to your getaways space. Kitchen area if needed in wine area to use. Firepit and grill to use for cooking also. A place like no other!

Historic 1880 Settler Cabin, Merryweather Farm

Merryweather Farm is a peaceful place on the open prairie. We raise organic garlic, apples, orchard pork, free-range chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and charming, lovable dogs and cats. Our goal is to provide a true pioneer experience with just a bit of comfort added. 1880 Norwegian Settlers Cabin is not modernized, attached barn has been rebuilt into uninsulated screen porch. Cabin has great old iron bed, loft has twin bed, screened in porch has day bed. Private modern bath included.
