Fox’s Hollow at The Howling Woods

Our Yurt is hand made. Every log was peeled and split to create the initial lattice work. The inside is sheethed in thin plywood & painted which gives it a more homey feel than a typical rubbery tarp covered yurt. :) There is a large domed skylight at the center to let in the sunlight. You can also crank open the hexagon window to let in fresh air. Inside you’ll find a lofted double bed & extra blankets & a futon mattress for larger parties. The kitchenette is great for basic cooking.

Farm stay in a cozy yurt

Want to be surrounded by nature? Listen to animal sounds? Eat quality food? You're in the right place! The yurt has a full bed. It has electricity for lights and a hot plate. Pots, pans and utensils are available. The compost toilets are in the back. There is no running water inside but we provide a drinking fountain and foot pump sink. An outdoor shower is available near our house. The distance between parking and the yurt is about 150 yards. Petting goats or sheep available. .

Glamping Near Acadia

Our private, off grid glamping experience is the perfect way to relax and unwind after exploring the nearby coast of Maine. The six acre property is located just 15 minutes from Mount Desert Island and five minutes from downtown Ellsworth, malls and amenities. The yurt and adjacent campsite comfortably sleep up to six adults. While firewood is included for the indoor cast iron wood stove, sleeping bags are a must have in the cooler months.
