Struan Farm Retreat Geraldine

Beautiful native trees and birdsong surround your own peaceful, private, and quiet cottage and gardens. We have a star gazing area where you will be awed by the clear sky and see the Milky Way and all the constellations. Our Retreat Cottage is very well equipped with everything you need, including a 3 pin EV charging port. Your hosts, Drew and Sally, will meet you and show you around their small farm including cows, chickens and native birds, and browse the large vegetable gardens and orchard.

Enjoy this fully self-contained apartment (50㎡ + deck) with breathtaking views of Lake Tekapo and the surrounding mountains. Perfect for a couple, it features a king bedroom separate from the open-plan kitchen and dining area. The space is ideally suited for two, but we’re happy to accommodate a third guest using the sofa bed in the living room. Just a 5-minute walk from the Church of the Good Shepherd and a 10-minute stroll to the village centre. WiFi, Netflix, and a free car park are included.

This self-contained studio with veranda is set in beautiful gardens in the rural village of Peel Forest, opposite the hall. Private, quiet, tastefully decorated. Living/sleeping are combined in an L shaped room. There is a separate kitchenette (basic food preparation/microwave/small electric frypan) and bathroom. Sleeping options - a queen size bed or 2 single beds. SINGLE BEDS MUST BE REQUESTED WHEN BOOKING. Bush walks nearby. Parking. Continental breakfast. Nearest town is Geraldine, 19kms.

Situated on the Inland scenic route [High way 72] and only a short drive to Mount Hutt ski field and the Ashburton Lakes /Lord of the Rings country.For a longer drive Geraldine is only 30 minutes away and the Gateway to the beautiful Southern Lakes . The cottage accomodation is totally private set in a beautiful garden setting in the grounds of the historic school house built in 1876. 20 minutes to Methven and 1 hour to Christchurch international Airport. Not suitable for infants/children.

Timms Cottage

Timms Cottage is a rustic farm cottage and allows you to relax with an indoor outdoor space giving you breath taking views of Mt Dobson, Fox Peak and our farm. The cottage is situated behind the family homestead within our garden on our farm, providing a peaceful and private setting. We are a working farm. We are 10 km from Fairlie which has some great eating places, 3 km from Lake Opuha and half an hour from Mount Dobson and Fox Peak. Tekapo and Geraldine are only half an hour away.

This rustic, beautiful and comfortable tiny house, just 1 km from the centre of Fairlie, is surrounded by farms and boasts stunning views of the Two Thumb Range (Mt Dobson). The house will feel like home the moment you arrive! Try the famous Fairlie pies while visiting! Mt Dobson skifields are about 15 min away. Lake Tekapo - with its hot springs and other tourist attractions - is just a half hour drive away. Escape your stresses and soak in the farm and mountain views from the deck.

This apartment is situated 5 minutes off Inland Scenic Route 72 and less than 20 minutes from the friendly farming village of Geraldine. Use the apartment as a launch pad to local activities in Peel Forest (horse treks and bush walks), Lake Tekapo (ice skating, snow tubing, day spa and hot pools), Mt Cook (beautiful scenic walks and helicopter rides), or just a place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of town. We are a working farm running cattle, chickens and 1 dog.

Our cottage has 4 steps up to the deck, ideal to relax by day & watch spectacular stars of the milky way by night. Close to many outdoor activities in the heart of Mt Somers Village. Explore early history, try your hand at tramping, fishing, skiing, boating & golf the area offers. Strict 2 guest policy, do not bring extra guests. We live next door.

Country Cabin

The warm and cosy cabin is a self contained unit detached from the main house, with BBQ, private deck and restful native garden. You will have your own access/key and off road parking. Our place is great for couples. On navman route, we are 2 hours from Christchurch and 4 hours to Queenstown. Only 1 hour from Mt Hutt ski field and 1 hour from Mt Dobson ski field. Aoraki Mount Cook is 2 hours distance and Tekapo is 1 hour.

Lake Opuha Studio Apartment

We are located a 2 minute drive from Lake Opuha, popular for water sports and fishing, a little over 30 minutes to the summit of Mt Dobson ski field, Fox Peak ski field, and about an hour from Round Hill ski field. Fairlie is a short 10 minute drive away, and Lake Tekapo is 30 minutes away. A great spot to get away from it all! Fully self contained and away from our house, you will have complete privacy throughout your stay.

Due to its location, Fox Cottage is a perfect holiday destination for anyone who wishes to experience the great outdoors. With the Fox Peak Ski Field and the North Opuha Conservation Park only 10 minutes drive this home is perfect for those interested in tramping, fishing, mountain biking, horse riding or skiing.
