Only a few miles from the Lake District National Park and Solway Coastline, Scholars Cottage is superbly situated for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery and some of the best local walking routes during your stay. The Cottage has recently been refurbished to a high standard and we look forward to hosting for you as you explore the Western Lake District.

Salkeld Cottage is in the village of Gilcrux, near Cockermouth and situated between the Solway coast & Lake District park, ideal for walkers & pet owners. There is a local pub withing walking distance. The cottage is part of a barn conversion along with 5 other cottages which accommodate 1 couple each. It features an open fire, four poster bed and steam cubicle. Guests can privately hire the hydro therapy hot tub (Please see other details to note for information on booking the hot tub)

A perfect retreat for those looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the northern Lakes. Tawny Cottage is one of three fully-equipped and dog-friendly cottages set around a pretty courtyard in stunning natural surroundings. Surrounded by woodland and fell - watch deer and other wildlife from your back door. Away from the crowds but close to everything the Lake District has to offer. Magnificent views from the end of the drive south towards Skiddaw, and the Solway Coast to the north.

Welcome to Highside a delightful cottage set in a secluded location overlooking the tranquil village of Lorton. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.
