Legend has it that Spartacus was once the notorious leader in Europe’s underground spice trade. Traveling purely by railcar, Spartacus would hop country to country, smuggling forbidden spices and herbs for his clients in the very top of the elite class. After years of successfully smuggling goods under the radar, Spartacus had built an empire in the spice trade industry that connected all corners of the globe. Then, as if by an act of a greater power, Spartacus and his elusive empire vanished without a trace. That was until we found him in the middle of nowhere atop a hillside in Bastrop, Texas. There he had spent years on high ground overlooking the Colorado River, hiding from the international authorities and any rival smugglers that he might have crossed in his previous life. Since then, Spartacus has found a new purpose in life and decided to join our motley crew of vintage trailers on mesa. Although his life isn’t filled with the excitement it used to be, he’s happy spending his days accommodating families and friends in search of a unique lodging experience. With a queen bed, pull-out couch, jacuzzi bathtub, and classy décor, Spartacus is the perfect trailer for anyone looking to spice up their true Taos experience.

The Hacienda del Sol is a Historic Bed and Breakfast built in 1804. The Hacienda was Mabel Dodge Lujan and Tony Lujan's first home together in Taos. Guests that have stayed at our Inn included Georgia O'Keefe, Ansel Adams, Willa Cather, DH Lawrence, etc. We have two big beautiful lawns in the back of our Inn with clear sunset views of Taos Mountain. We serve a delicious Gourmet Free Breakfast. The Love Apple, (A+ restaurant), shares our driveway and is walking distance for dinner.

We have remodeled two single-story historic homes into several patio rooms with thick adobe walls. hand-hewn vigas, custom Talavera tiles and saltillo tiled floors. Most of the patio rooms have enclosed private outdoor patios however, rooms 15, 16 and 17 share a larger outdoor courtyard. If you require a private patio please let us know. Our patio rooms are available with King, Queen or 2 Queen-sized beds and have microwaves, refrigerators, free coffee, and guest robes.

Cozy double queen bedroom with its own sink in our Historic 1920 Hotel mentioned in the Harvey Girls film. Next door is the tv/living room with dining table and comfy loveseat. On your other side is the rose bathroom with walk in shower and quality Turkish towels and high end shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. You have a closet for your things and access to the upstairs lobby with refrigerator, microwave, keurig coffee pot, tea kettle, filtered water and ice!

2nd floor rooms with A/C & a balcony overlooking the train yard and mountains. This is the closest accommodations to the train yard in town, walk right down to the station. It is also walkable to most of the restaurants in town as well. Our rooms have an old west feel with all of the modern conveniences of the present with high quality furniture, artwork, and linens. The large bathrooms feature detailed tile adding a luxurious touch as well.

Washington Plaza Hotel, The Luciana - Free Parking

The‘Luciana’ is where efficiency meets elegance. The single room comes with a full bathroom with Oaxacan tilework and locally sourced bath products. Rest on a memory foam mattress on a custom-built bed, make a coffee in the nook or grab a snack from Smeg refrigerator. Just steps from the hotel is The Plaza with full access to the city's bars, restaurants and shops. People are raving about our beds and linens.

This room has one bedroom with a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa, a separate kitchen and dining area, and a flat-screen 32in TV. This room is on the first floor. Alpine Lodge no longer allows trailers on property, that includes loading and unloading trailers. Any guests traveling with trailers must use Red River's public parking areas for parking, loading, and unloading vehicles from trailers.
