The Old School House is a listed building that’s brimming with history. This spacious, four-bedroom holiday home now features sumptuous furnishings and an 8-person hot tub overlooking the gardens. The house can accommodate up to eight adults comfortably, and is a firm favourite with hill walkers and mountain bikers because of its proximity to Galloway Forest Park

The Cheese House Self Catering Cottage

The cottage comprises of an ensuite family room with a double bed and bunk beds, a living/dining area, a fully fitted kitchen, and another bathroom. It's perfect for couples and families of up to 4. The cottage has central heating so is lovely and warm, and is a great home from home. The Gardeners Cottage is set within the walled gardens of Corvisel House, built by Rear Admiral John McKerlie in 1829. We have restored the cottage in a vintage, quirky style with Donegal & Harris tweed soft furnishings & floral accents to reflect the glorious garden outside! It's located at the edge of Newton Stewart so very handy for evening strolls to the eateries in town. You can take walks in our small forest from the courtyard & hang out in the walled garden - green fingers are welcomed!!

The accommodation is an annex of our own home and has its own private entrance and en-suite bathroom complete with shower and bath, in a studio format. We are situated on a small holding far from the maddening crowds and under the Galloway dark sky where on a clear night you can see the milky way and an array of stars . We welcome well behaved dogs however they should not be left alone .

Ivy Bank Studio Creetown - Gem Rocks Neighbour.

Ivy Bank Studio, run by Mary & Jonathan, is an attached studio room of Ivy Cottage. It is independent from the main Cottage. Which itself was built in 1795 from local stone. It is situated on a private no through road, located directly in front of the Gem Rock museum and cafe. The location of the studio room in Creetown offers excellent outdoor views across to Cairnsmore Hill & Wigtown Bay. Creetown itself is a welcoming tourist village ideal for those wishing to explore Dumfries & Galloway.

At '235' you will have your own private space to enjoy day or night. The comfortable sofa bed can be made up ready for your arrival or left as a sofa for you to relax. 2 Calgow Cottage is a fully refurbished semi-detached cottage in the heart of Galloway, within walking distance of Newton Stewart, described as the 'Gateway to the Galloway Hills'. Our large garden backs on to the mature woodlands of Kirroughtree Forest, famous for its recreational offering including bike shop and cafe, walking trails, and home to one of the 'seven stanes' mountain biking sites. Closeby are miles of coastline, hills, and spectacular scenery, ideal for that perfect getaway.

Carrick Shore, Coastal home private entry to beach

Spacious beach house with private enclosed garden, ample parking area with private access down to the beach. Well equipped for family life. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. TV and Wifi. Plenty of games and books etc for the young ones. Carrick Bay has plenty of opportunities to fish, swim, walk, cycle, sail, canoe, windsurf or paddle board. Or of course just chill with a cold drink and stargaze. Friday check in, 3 night minimum booking in winter months and minimum 7 days from April to November.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. This inviting annexe is located in an idyllic countryside setting surrounded by wildlife. The annexe is attached to our house and is situated in a wonderfully peaceful spot in Minnigaff, at the end of a quiet lane; there is a footpath directly opposite.We are within easy walking distance of local pubs and eateries. Newton Stewart is ideally situated between the countryside and coast of the Machars and the Galloway Forest (dark sky) Park.

The Old Toll House Petite and perfectly formed

Petite but perfectly formed The Old Toll house is a perfect base to explore Dumfries and Galloway. The Old Toll house was built in 1813 the same time as the bridge was built. It was the original Toll house used to collect the payment for people crossing between Newton Stewart and Minnigaff. The old wooden bridge and ford was replaced in 1813 John Rennie (The Elder) won the honour of the commission. Thomas Telford his competitor also submitted plans. Thank you for your booking.
