This traditional thatched cottage features picturesque views of Gweebarra Bridge and accommodates up to 6 guests, perfect for families or groups. With three bedrooms, kitchen, and a comfortable sitting area.The highlight is the wood-burning hot tub—lighting and filling it requires a bit of effort, but is all part of the adventure.

Harben Cottage in the green hills of Ardara

Harben Cottage is a 150 year old traditional stone cottage - 5mins drive from the Heritage Town of Ardara (20mins walk). Set amongst lush green hills & sitting next to a bubbling mountain stream. A mixture of new and old; low doorways, a turf fireplace, water supplied from a mountain spring, but also a gas cook top, oven, microwave, WIFI, & central heating. NB: that the toilet & shower are housed in outside annex - this may not suit everyone but adds a touch of authenticity for the brave!

It is set on 12 acres with a river running through it and a tumbling waterfall right by the cottage. Only 15 minutes drive to Donegal town, which has some really nice restaurants and bars. There is a castle to explore in the town and a wonderful craft village with a very good cafe. Ten minutes drive to Harveys Point and twelve minutes from Lough Eske castle, both reputable 5 * hotels.
