I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

Just 6 minutes by walk from subway Imadegawa station. You can walk to imperial palace in 10 minutes. You can stay like you live in Kyoto. We have wooden bath with small garden view. There are wooden deck besides living space, you will have relaxing time at the wooden deck with garden view. Electric bikes are rent for free. Kumo machiya Kazahaya was all made by woods, we keep the original style. The structure of this villa is つしにかいtsushinikai. Since Edo period, this kind of design was to ensure all the civilians are not stand on 2nd floor to look while the Samurai passing by, so the 2nd floor is short than 1st floor. Another feature of this villa is むしこまどmushikomado. Normally this kind of window on 2nd floor, looks like a cage of bug.
