Or walk to the town dock for an adventure to another island. Ferries leave daily to explore outer islands. Acadia easily explored from here, with parts of Southwest Harbor being National park land. 5 minutes drive to Acadia National Park -Flying Mountain and Valley Cove are very close by. Our cabin is a 2 min. walk to the rocky shore of Frenchman Bay. We are half way between Acadia National Park, 45 minutes away and Schoodic Peninsula, 20 minutes away. Our cabin is cozy and peaceful. Full kitchen and a gas fireplace for your enjoyment along with a compfy bed and a compfy futon in living room. Watch the lobster boats work their traps just in front of the house. Not appropriate for small children. Sorry, NO PETS, we're allergic :-(
