There is a market in the square on Fridays and Sundays with neat jewelry, art and other local treasures. The area is rich in history and culture and has many tales of days when Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett used to wonder the village.

The mouth-watering scents of Chala's Wood Fired Grill and Spotted Dog Brewery will entice you, as they're just around the corner. You'll also hear the bells from one of the oldest churches in the area and enjoy live music from the neighborhood's restaurants and bars.

"Casa de Maíz" is a quaint home close to New Mexico State University, the Las Cruces Convention Center, and has access to downtown and Historic Mesilla. The home is in a quiet neighborhood close to a park where you can take your children or your dog(s). The home is a perfect stop on a cross-country trip or a place for temporary housing. The sunsets from the backyard are breathtaking. You will be inspired to go hiking while viewing the Organ Mountains from the front yard.

Clara's Nest - The Gem of Hacienda de Las Cruces

Clara’s Nest is in a 1880's adobe compound with its own private entry, courtyard, original stone floors, handcrafted beams, hand-painted bird & flower motif throughout. The suite features a king bed, cozy loveseat & ottoman in the sleeping area, dining table & 4 chairs, kitchenette with micro, fridge, coffee & tea bar, a separate living room with sofa, TV, private bath. Outer space includes: covered patio, backyard, pool and hot tub area (heated upon request) No stove.

Our guesthouse is located on historic Highway 28, also known as the Don Juan de Onate Trail, which connects El Paso and Las Cruces. It is one of the area's most scenic routes. You can find breweries, multiple wineries, and the famous Chopes restaurant and bar along the route. The highlight of the 10-mile drive from our little house in San Miguel to historic Mesilla takes you through unique canopies of pecan trees, in the largest pecan-producing county in the nation.

The guest house is close to the main house but completely separate and private. Off-street, private parking.

Sombra Del Valle is a beautiful home located in a quiet neighborhood and within 5 minute walking distance to the historic Mesilla plaza and 2 minute walking distance to a Brewery and restaurant and approximately 5 minute drive to NMSU. The home is comfortable and spacious; great for family trips, honeymoons, or just a fun getaway. There is free guest private parking. Once you stay here you will want to come back; it’s a home away from home.
