Welcome to Aquila Cottage which is directly on the Hadrians Wall Path, Pennine Way and Cycleway Route 72. The cottage is in an unparallelled location just 150 yards from "the best bit" of Hadrians Wall at Walltown Crags and directly opposite the Roman Army Museum. There is a bus stop right (services include AD122) outside. We are perfectly located for walking, visiting the sites along Hadrians Wall, stargazing events at Walltown & Twice Brewed as well as visiting the lakes & Scottish Borders

Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

Hot tub is £80 payable on arrival. Our luxury glamping pods are home from home with all cooking facilities, Fully fitted en suite, Double bed and sofa bed. We supply shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap. We supply a continental breakfast. A full English breakfast could be supplied in you require. Free pick up after 5pm from Steel Rigg and free drop off before 9am. Dog friendly too. Small airfryer, small freezer and fridge.

A unique rural cottage in the heart of Northumbria, High Crook Cottage is an idyllic property on its own but close to Hadrians Wall and Allen Banks. Perfect for walking or cycling holidays or just for people who want to relax in and explore the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and its rich heritage. Recently converted it is modern, comfortable and accessible whilst still retaining its original charm of a cowshed!

Believed to have been constructed in the latter half of the 16th Century, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth 1 and the time of the Spanish Armada, Bastle House is a Grade II Listed Building. Built as a stonghouse to protect against raids by Border Reivers, the property has been lovingly renovated into a unique and cosy one-bedroom bolthole.
