Hetherington Downs - A quiet private place to stay

Josie and Neil welcome you to Hetherington Downs, their quiet 42 acre North Waikato rural property, set well away from the road & with magnificent views over Lake Waahi and beyond It is a 10m x 3m self contained Compac cabin with a 10m x 3m deck Wifi has only recently been connected to the cabin There is no TV It is most suitable for a couple, but also has a pull out sofa bed (& folding mattress) for your use if required The cabin was new in June 2017 and has now been set up for Airbnb guests

Skippers Hideout

A modern tidy studio with attached bathroom and kitchenette thats seperate from the main house. The bed is a queen size and theres a small table with two chairs as well. The kitchenette has basic bench top cooking facilities, a sink, toaster, kettle with a small fridge too. I run a fishing charter boat on a trailer out of the driveway too, so you might experience charter customers, fish and early or late noises during your stay. Only 14 minutes walk to town and 6 minutes walk to raglan wharf.

Garden Stay close to town

After a few years hiatus, raising our almost 1 year old son, we're back Our little sleepout is perfect for a quick get away to raglan. Own enterance, share driveway (steep) with us as access. Guests to park on the road. No off street parking Queen bed, wifi & netflix tv (own login req.) 8 minute walk to town, 2 minute walk to the wharf. 10min drive to the points Two big dogs, who will want to say hello! Also 2 chooks living in backyard below, they will let you know when they've laid an egg!

Atarau Beach Retreat

Relax and unwind in this beautiful studio apartment. Enjoy the view of Moonlight Bay, and the tranquil surrounds of native bush and bird song. Take the private walkway to the bay for a swim, or see it from a different perspective using the kayaks provided for guests. Vibrant Raglan township is a quick five minute car trip (or enjoy the 30 minute walk), where you can find great restaurants, cafes, beaches, and other amenities. Walk along the beach to The Wharf for fish and chips at low tide.

Kaitoke Cottage

This cosy modern cottage is nestled amongst native trees and birdlife. Just steps from the scenic Kaitoke Walkway, this modern one-bedroom abode combines cosy comfort with a light footprint. The cottage offers an open living area, separate bedroom, bathroom and a private patio-area, all crafted with sustainable materials. The cottage is located in the back of our family property with private access and carpark. We provide fresh linen and towels, tea & coffee, and basic cooking facilities.

Rakaunui Retreat

AMAZING VIEWS, Northfacing 180 degree water views all over raglan, this 1 bedrooom self-contained unit, with outdoor sunny deck and amazing water views. Location wise everything is on your door step: 10mins walk from 2 great local cafes (Rock-it Kitchen & Raglan Roast Food Department), 5mins drive to the main beach, 10mins drive to Manu Bay surf beach, 5mins drive or 20/25mins walk to the center of raglan. Ideal little base for a weekend retreat to explore the natural beauty of raglan.

The Outpost - Seaview Treehouse

Reconnect with nature in a tiny house surrounded by native bush in a calm and inspiring space overlooking the Tasman sea and just above the world class surf breaks of Indicators and Whale Bay. On the property we have a number of completely unique structures spaced apart in the bush to give maximum privacy. All are designed and positioned to make the most of the surrounding bush and ocean below. There is a large lawn area for guests to enjoy and a beautiful outdoor hot water shower.

Hakarimata Hideaway with Magical Gloworm Tour.

Nestled at the foot of the Hakarimata range, the cabin is completely private and separate from the hosts residence. It is the perfect retreat, a place to break up your journey or as a base for the many tourist, cycling or walking activities the Waikato has to offer. The cabin has a queen-sized bed with ensuite. The kitchenette has gas hobs with small fridge, kettle, toaster, and all basic utensils. Milk, tea and coffee are included. There’s wifi and a TV with Chromecast.

Nikau studio Whale bay Raglan - Forest Retreat

Relax at a unique and tranquil getaway, cosy, romantic and immersed in nature. An open plan studio nestled next to a gentle stream on the native forested foothills of Whale bay, Raglan. An easy 6 min walk to the surf at Whale bay, Indicators or Outside Indicators a few mins drive to Manu bay or Ngarunui beach. Warm and cosy with a beautiful open fire, modern insulation & large double glazed sliding doors. The heat pump heats the studio within 15mins.

Flight of the Kereru

Total privacy in this Self contained unit in Onewhero comprising of double bedroom, lounge, bathroom and small kitchenette situated on half an acre of organic gardens and lawn. The kitchenette has hot jug, toaster, microwave, small oven, fridge, crockery and cutlery. Perfect for preparing/heating a simple meal, making tea/coffee and self help breakfast. The laundry is handy and can be shared with the owner. All Linen and towels will be provided

The Lantern

Enjoy a late check out! Down the road you will find local designer shopping; great cafes, coffee, cocktail bar and beaches all only 15 min walk. World renown Surf points a 10 min drive. So many water activities to explore. Bridal Veil falls, Karioi hike treks Waingaro hot pools and more, all within 25min drive from Raglan. Or, just relax in The Lanterns air conditioned comfort, with peaceful water views and the sleeping lady, Karioi mountain.

Rural retreat

Private studio with spectacular views. Hosts house on same property so readily available, self catering but meals available by arrangement. A place to relax and get away from it all, nearby Nikau Caves and Cafe, Port Waikato surf beach and Harkers Resrve for Bush Walks ,We now have aircon and wifi. We do have a couple of dogs who like to greet guests in the morning with a bark but it doesn’t go on for long and not every morning
