You will have to be able to climb stairs to get into the house & then climb a ladder up to the bed (see photos). Limited amenities: NO CABLE & NO Wi-Fi, but there is a TV & DVD player. There are wide open spaces, sunrises, sunsets, starry nights & a fire ring. No urban scene here, you will be sharing the property with cattle & sheep.

The Gumbo Getaway is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin with a king bed and a full sofa sleeper in the living room. Our cabin was built in 2021. We welcome our guests to come enjoy our cozy spot in the hill country with the convenience of staying only 15 mins from Main Street in Fredericksburg. **Guests are permitted to walk the road starting at the cattle guard entrance and ending at The Lagniappe Lodge. (The LL has a big rock sign out front.) Do not walk past the Lagniappe Lodge.**
