Port Moluag House, Isle of Lismore

Our house sits at the bottom of a secret track in a private, historical cove on the beautiful Hebridean island of Lismore. Secluded, quiet and peaceful, Port Moluag is within easy reach of the Scottish mainland whilst feeling totally removed from the pace and noise of city life. The house is newly-built using eco technologies to limit its environmental impact and is surrounded by wonderful wildlife such as seals, otters, and a multitude of birds as well as many sites of historical interest.

Wee Coo Byre

Converted former byre in bucolic surroundings. Located just outside the village of Strachur, it is an ideal stop for anyone walking the Cowal Way and is close to the unexplored mountains of Cowal and the beautiful Loch Eck and Loch Fyne. The little cottage shares a garden with the main house (where I live most of the time) and is set amongst mature trees, rippling burns and abundant wildlife including chirruping birds, red squirrels and pine martens. A lovely place to unwind and relax.

Stunning waterfront cottage on Loch Fyne

Escape to the aptly named Tigh Na Mara Cottage which in Gaelic means “at the edge of the sea”. This romantic cottage is a place to find your soul and escape the stresses of life. It sits right on the edge of Loch Fyne in the delightful fishing village of Newton. It has recently been fully refurbished and has unrivalled views over gorgeous Loch Fyne. You will be mesmerised by the shimmer of blue water through the windows. It’s also a short drive from the famous Inver Cottage Restaurant.

Maida's cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Ford, close to Loch Ederline. There is a private driveway to the cottage with a farm gate to keep the sheep on the hill. There is ample parking and a gated/fenced private garden. Although on the edge of the village, Maida's cottage feels remote with a rather stunning backdrop. There are many hills to walk. There is no TV or WiFi, this is a cosy getaway from hectic lives so sit back and enjoy the log fire with a good book.

Luing Cabin is nestled between Inverliever Forest and a clearing that leads down to the majestic Loch Awe. It's one of the many cabins dotted around the woods and loch side here by the friendly village of Dalavich. The area is perfect for lovers of the outdoor life, and is a great place for fishing, kayaking, hiking, cycling and wild swimming. A place to get away from it all, slow down, relax and explore. It is owned and managed by myself. The lodge is layed out for a couple or solo travellers. Argyll is steeped in history and has miles of coastline, lochs, forests and mountains.
