Griffin - The Lake Superior Riverboat

The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. It is located at a mom and pop boat yard, which is quite different from a fancy marina. Work happens here. Metal is welded here. Engines are torn apart and put back together here. The Beach House

Beautiful year round beach house. This tiny house is located on Second Sand Beach. Guests will enjoy an all sand beach on Lake Superior. It is 8 miles from the town of L’Anse, and a 40 minute drive to Houghton. Cross country ski trails, snowmobile trails, hiking trails, and ORV trails are minutes away. Participate in the many summer and winter fishing tournaments in the area or relax and unwind on the private beach. A boat launch area is a short walk down the beach.
